Thunder and lightning. Enter three Witches.
Although the three crazy witches that appeared 2 years ago are the least of your worries, for strange abominations have infested the realm, corrupted imitations of the gods that seek death and destruction. Will you seek them out and destroy them?
(Quest will last 1 week)
P.S. Can anyone tell me the reference in italics?

To the players who answered "Macbeth", you are correct!
I must apologise - I didn't realise that the rooms with the three witches was blocked off to non-staff - guess it pays to look closely at any quest rooms being recycled.

Despite their regeneration abilities, the staff-imitating Ghouls and their minions have been vanquished. The final kill tally:
Ghoul Warrior: 2,716
JLH Ghoul: 9
Oracle Ghoul: 18
Elf Ghoul: 14
Scripto Ghoul: 20
Stig Ghoul: 21
Derlok Ghoul: 15
Seems I suffered the most!
The Alchemy Shop in Arilin has agreed to accept the masses of minor drops from the Ghouls for modest prices, so please clean up the realm!
The witches will stick around for a while longer, and are sympathetic to the plight of the adventurers in not having enough components of a particular kind and will ponder amongst themselves to decide how to address this. Scrolls are still available in the meantime.
Once the witches decide to leave, the Alchemy Shop will then accept any left-over major drops (from bosses only) and the Dendeya Archives will take in any unused scrolls, but the prices will be consolation prizes, so use them if you can.

The witches are willing to trade some low-end drops, amongst other things, for the component you seek the most... watch this space!
P.S. Hope you didn't want a quick buck that badly!
ADDENDUM: Because I knew about this, it's unfair that I keep the minor drops I obtained on my mortals, so I have split them evenly with the three other players who took part in the quest heavily, with me selling any leftovers to the Alchemy shop.

One of the witches seeks Ghoul Cadavers for her and her sisters to... research. In return they may give you the item you so desperately seek! See what she has to say.

The quest shops and crafting are now closed. Any leftover components can be sold around the Arilin shops and unused scrolls will be accepted by the Dendeya Archives.
