[PureMourning]

There was a chill air drifting through the desolate streets... the flicker of the lamp lights were struggling to be seen as their flames pushed against their glass fixtures. I sat snug in the corner of the tavrern peering through the foggy window; I could see the dancing flames lightly illuminating the cold cobble stone streets. I found comfort in the sight of these methodical flames - showing an eager will and driven by a steadfast resolute; Eyes upon them or not, their course was their own.

It is common these days for me to sit content, just me and my stiff ale, personifying mere objects... at least its something while another frigid night encompasses this mind-numbing outlet.

My thoughts were soon disturbed as the wooden door swung open. A group of weary adventurers stumbled in, and judging by the late hour, I'd say this rag-tag bunch was irksome. As the screech of the door hit it's pinnacle, a thought stuck me like a lightning bolt. A thought, an idea... a way to harness that feeling that was scratching our insides; a sensansation to fight; to compete... its up to us now.


Triplex:
- Saturday, Jan. 21st
- 8 PM England Time, 3 PM Eastern, 2 PM Central, 12 PM Pacific
- 5K entry fee, winner takes all!*

Logistics:
- I will start accepting pages at the event start time (will be DND until then) - for those who want to enter, simply page me on Yavimaya.
- Please have your inventories ready before you join the clan and my party (after first round(s), I will run really fast trips to Windia - described more below).
- Depending on how the number of entries fall, I may cut the last 1 or 2 people from the event. I know how to run it based on different numbers and how to do round-robin, but I want a number divisible by 3 at the start.
- I will then meet everyone whom I will have paged at NGH to invite to Field of Battle clan.
- I will lead everyone to the clan house entry way, and proceed to /pickplayers (I will then /party remove those who are not in Round 1.1, and take the first competitors into the Arena, which will be PW protected. At this point the party will be disbanded and I will give everyone a minute or two to get in order).
- I will then /clan remove the losers and send them to Boar's Tusk (unless we start out Round Robin).
- I will take winning teams to the clan house sauna and leave them there while I /pickplayers from the others players who are waiting in the entry way.
- After the first round(s), I will run quick trips to Windia for people to pot/mana up.

* If this runs smoothly, maybe the prize will become better over time.

This will unquestionably take a little bit longer than if a Staff was running it, however, I'm hoping to have the rhythm down and the mana/pot trips shouldn't take longer than 2 minutes - be ready to withdraw gold and buy quickly.

Hey RJ! Thanks for pointing that out, and now I feel bad... 'Cause I know you're a Main-er.

This is for 1-alt.

If it goes well, I'd love to do it regularly for Main, too.

Special potions allowed? Might make people drop full inventory before fight to prevent special items, unless you will allow them or just dq a team if that happens.

No special potions allowed. I will be announcing my intent of action as we roll through this in-game; and yes, if I see people doing anything fishy in the arena I will immediately /clan remove that person and unfortunately, that whole team will be disqualified immediately.

I know there are a lot of gaps for people to "grief" but I honestly do not see the intent. We'll all be in the temp clan together, we all know how this works, anyone who griefs will be screwing themselves over and others, and will be making their actions known to everyone.

Lets just do this together and have fun.
