I dont claim to be a computer whiz.. never have.. never will.. so I will do my best to explain my problem

Certain items.. Such as the Spade and Leather vest I can't see under my crit image... for example.. right now I am in Windia... I know the spade is in the room cause when I click on look around I get this: Windia Plantpatch: The display is neatly arranged, with all of the flowers positioned in meticulously straight lines. The sunlight shines brightly upon this area, making it perfect growing conditions. You can go back to the North.
A Spade is here with you.

So I know the Spade is there but I dont see an image of it, nor can I click where the spade should be to pick the item up...

This problem also occurs when I go to the croc.. Sewer Level 2... Not sure if there are any more crocs in this game or not.. Kinda a Newbie.. only been at this since April...

I can't see the croc, nor that little pic that has the crocs name next to it... it can hit me.. but I can't click on the image to attack the croc back....

So far thats about it... maybe the images arent downloading.. and I tried to do that update all graphics but that didnt work...

With the spade, try typing /get spade to pick it up and see what it says then..

Otherwise, in one of the menus you can Update Game Images, or something - Do that.

Get spade did work...

Refresh did not....

Even though the spade is in my inventory I still dont see it

and I tried the Update image it didnt work

Ive reinstalled NM then Updated game will let ya know how it turned out

I get the same problem with leather vests and certain crits with certain pics, i've tried re-installing and updating but it never changed.

try the update all gfx option on the help menu again, as i made a small change to the server that might help

tried it didn't work, but it seems im missin 1023 - 1042 outta my gfx folder, is there a way i can download then manually?

those pics are not needed so the client does not download them

In the caption of your screen, goes it say, "Downloading Graphics/Images"??

If so, the same thing happened to me. I was running a win98 and could never do quests or anything becaue I always had to restart Nightmist to get the graphics back and they would only work for like 15 minutes before I had to restart nightmist again.

right now i am geting kinda the same problem just i dont know it its on nightmist cause i cannot log on lol...anyways alot of images that would normaly come up are showing a X inplace of the picture..only on forums tho for some reason..nightmist forum...my forum http://s8.invisionfr...ldilutedforums/ and another forum i used to have on favorites..but i looked up alot of pictures on google to try and find one that would not show up to find if there was a certain kind of pic that wouldn't work for me but they all worked...seems to be only on forums for some reason.jlh can you help?

that link has a typo, but when put in as selfdiluted, the images work fine.

I've tried re-installing, tried updating the game, tried updating graphics and still cant see the giant centipede. If i try updating the autoupdater i get the message Runtime error "g": Subscript out of range

I had this problem before, and I fixed it.

The problem is, you do not have administrative priveleges on your computer in order to update the game. I play Nightmist on two computers, both with windows 2000. One worked, and I wondered why. Then, one day I was playing nightmist on the unworking computer on the administartor abbount. I figured it out and simply made my account an administrator one on the control panel.

Humm, try editting the macro files in notepad... does it have the same error?

Nope had no problems saving what i did to the macro file

My sister logged onto her paci the other day and paged me asking to loan her some mana. So I went to her and tried to give her the inventory of mana off one of my thieves and I got the message that her inventory was full. She said that she couldnt see anything in her inventory and she manualy typed in the /drop advanced mana crystal command and she dropped one. But she still could not see it. She could see her armor and all the pics of the ppl in the room and passing by but not the mana. I told her to update graphics and then reload the crit. She did and still could not see any of the mana in her inventory. I then told her to update everything in the Help/Update tab and then reload. She did that and still no pics of the mana. So I suggested she log onto my account and test something. So she logged onto one of my thieves that had a full inventory of mana. She could see all the mana in that crits inventory but not when she was on her paci.

Hm.... Rosso try movin crits to a different acct?? Just a lil thought and prolly wont work... but its worth a try....

Well its odd that my sister can see stuff in her inventory and on the ground with any other crits in her account except her paci. I even told her to uninstall the client and reinstall it and she still has the same problem.

This is a problem I had also at one point. I clicked with Eamon on the box that says update all graphics, yet still, it wasnt updating, it would say downloading picture, whenever there was a pic on square for any reason that wasnt in my nightmist folder. It would not update properly. I had someone send me the pics that I was missing from my NM folder, and I put them in the NM folder, and it worked fine. Try having a friend send you the pics somehow, msn or email, and then moving the pics you are missing into the NM gfx folder. That solved the problem when I was having it.

I tried Uninstalling and re-downloading, that didnt work.
