Magical Lore.

Available at level 32/33.

Increases wisdom in the party by two points, on everything (meaning something with 18 wis will have 20, temporarily).

Lasts for about as long as CE.

Costs slightly more than RF.

I think it'd be too much like casting Consecrated Embrace x2.

Isn't CE only undead monsters?

This doesn't have anything to do with undead, its affecting the parties wisdom points.

Wisdom is only good for casting cleric and druid spells though?
You're not putting a wisdom spell in for fighters, rangers, etc, within the party.

So it'd be like casting CE x2 when training clerics, boosting the training of any stormwrath using druids, and making your clerics more capable of healing your party.
Lasting nearly as long as CE also means it is over double the length of casting RF, doesn't it?

It would be very useful for cleric training, and even for healing at certain bosses.
I think it is overpowered when you consider that clerics already have Holy Might, Consecrated Embrace, Call Upon Deity, Blessed Force, Blessed Haste, Almighty Retribution, and other spells that boost the party.

Perhaps if it were a paladin spell, but even then---boosting the whole party that much is quite a bit, and it could have effects that are not obvious, such as boosting AC casts by druids, etc.

The extra Wisdom would also help in pvp (Fighters v Mages/Druids).

Haven't really thought about how I feel. Just throwing that out there....

I hadn't thought about PvP--I tend to think only in the sense of Nightmist, not 1-alt.

Which is this designed for? Or both?

Both.

Multi is also pk now, so it would have more of a use. I posted a reply about this on the 'suggestions for multi' topic..

".. it is designed for multi. Both for PvP and PvM would work, if clerics could heal more that would mean single parties would be able to take down more difficult areas, and magic users would hit more. For PvP, its just another spell to make everything more interesting tongue.gif Now that the new levels have come in clerics are getting more mp, why not give them something to spend it on. "

This spell could be useful in a number of ways... taking down a tough boss, defending against a Druid or Mage in a PvP fight etc...

I would only support it if the mana cost is very high though, like 20 mana per crit, because +2 Wisdom will make quite a bit of difference on heal spells and Stormwrath, also greatly reducing the chance of fizzling - for a party of 20 this would amount to 400 MP, putting it in the realm of level 34 and 35 Clerics.

ADDENDUM: Of course, smart players might be able to split their party and only cast the spell on their Clerics, using far less mana.

True, exactly what I was thinking. A spell of this magnitude (espiecially if we're looking at it in roleplay terms) would have to have a large mana cost, making each player smarter must take a lot of energy
