most staff only run events because they feel they have to, thus they rush things.. and what happens alot is.. im in middle of buying stuff and then im teleported to arena, i tell them i dont have pots or w/e but they dont listen.. so id rather staff run them when they have enough time rather than run them when they dont.
Just a possible solution then? Do not page to enter an event until you are ready to be tped in?!? Just a suggestion.

Like, he gets into the second round, but is not given time to get pots before the next round is started.

If youre on for example, a druid, in the 1 alt pt. You can wait to see which class you are dueling against to see how many pots/mana you bring in. If youre going up against a mage (or a cleric or a paladin), you might bring in 14 pots, as you can steal mana from the mage, therfore not needing mana crystals. If youre going up against a ranger/fighter, you will need more mana so that you can keep your armor spells up, if youre against a zerker, you probably wont need as much mana, as you can instead cast armor spells, morph, then attack.
Some people wait until they know what class they are going to be dueling against to see how many pots/mana they may need for that round. Some classes will require a mage/druid to take more or less mana crystals into the duel, and if someone waits to buy their pots/mana until after the random has been done, they are not always given time to get their pots.

u guys are never satisfied wit nothing, i dont even see why staff run events since all everyone does is cry and complain... give it a rest guys, the world doesnt revolve around yas
oh bill quit with the lame paragraphs of useless words all bunged together in a sympathetic way toward staff...everyone is intitled to their opinion so let them say what they want and don't jump down their throats when they do so...

That's exactly what I think about how everyone acts about anything done on Nightmist.
That is why I tend to not deal with it---when people complain to me when I make groups, I remove them from the group. (talking about trips that I organize, etc)
So no one plan on complaining about anything when I do stuff for anyone's entertainment that I don't have to do...just leave.

Its not just events we run, and yes there are enough areas but with every day the nightmist economy changes.. people get more arches, more money, and more equipment. If staff werent working on changes there would be no challenge left for many people. Its not just areas staff work on, but also tools to keep the economy under control, like the implimentation of alchemy and crafting which took months to perfect. Staff also work on holiday quests, such as Evil Santa last christmas, Gareths Easteregg Hunt and the upcoming halloween. Players expect events and quests and without the staff team working together to ensure there are fun things around, there would be less and less players. Regardless of the hard work staff do, there is still much to much unnecessairy complaints which discourage staff from running events and making their other contributions to the game.
you mean the nightmist economy is no longer constantly inflating while the most concentrated wealth and assets rest in the hands of only a handfull of players? most of the those few players are in the same ranks that they were five years ago too. despite staff efforts to spice things up there are less and less players. it wouldn't be unreasonable to conclude that events don't have a great impact on the playerbase's ability to thrive in nightmist. i agree that nightmist needs more challenges, a controlled economy, and fun in order to foster a thriving playerbase, but i don't see much of those things and it shows.
