Crystal Giant Replacement

Alright at one time in nightmist history players would travel to the Crystal Giant with hope to destroy him and recieve a rare item. Today almost every player has a Crystal Ring and they are becoming less rareand can almost be considered just a normal item. To improve this im suggesting that the Crystal Giant is removed and replaced with a new monster and a new drop that is still a ring with 3 armor.
Replacing the Crystal Giant with a new monster with similar statistics and similar drop would allow Crystal Rings to stay ingame but still be considered a rare item that shows someone has defeated the giant.


Im not very good at creating new bosses so I think we should send it out to the creative minds in our community. With the departure of the Crystal Giant I think a reasonable way to honor his impact on the game is to have a week of drops with an alternate item. After that week a new monster can fill his cavern. Suggested drops could be Crystal Hide, Crystal Halo or others. Im just throwing this idea out there because I believe this would be something new and exciting in nightmist.

No, I think the Crystal Giant should stay, because there are still a lot of players who have not killed him and would perhaps like to one day.

All items lose value over time as they become more numerous. Crystal Ring, Halberd, etc. Scrapping the monster that drops them does not usually help.

That's like saying get rid of Giant Sand Wurm because you have a bunch of Dagger's in your vault that won't sell. If you're sick of getting crystal rings, here's a suggestion!

Leave him alone. You should have thought about that before you ran around Nightmist buying up 40-50 crystal rings thinking you were gonna get rich trying to over price them for resale.

I am strongly against taking one of the classic, well known Nightmist bosses away. He's been a large part of the game for so long. It wouldn't be right to remove him.

hurm WE dont want to remove the Boss but how about we lower the drop percentage and make the cg harder to get too??

While we are at it lets change the name of the Boar's Tusk. That name is so boaring.

Taking the crystal giant away would be just like destroying Jahanna. Err wait, bad example. Some nub already did that. ^_^

Lowering the drop rate is kind of encouraging the big multi-alt people to dominate the cg more. The people who already have the rings would gain more. I'm against making it harder for the newer, lower level people really.

Then is it possible to probably have the Cg have an alternative drop? so he dont drop cr all the time. unless its alternative drop is crystal knife :|

Tree of knowledge not knowing the answer ^_^ . Weren't the Gorgon Beasts the things that were where you got the stone axe? If so the reset is what happened to them ;P Just like me poor old friend Sslix.
