Wondering, is there any program that can scan your system and give you the option to delete duplicate files?

Reason im asking is because it seems like there may be copies of my desktop contents on other user accounts.. and with how cluttered my desktop gets having a old copy of my desktop on another user can take up gigs and gigs of space.

Searching for specific files, like certain install programs, yes there are... as for scanning the entire system for duplicate files, I don't think there is because it is mathematically very demanding (demanding on memory too)... for n files, you have to make [n(n - 1)] / 2 comparisons... for 100,000 files, it would require 4,999,950,000 comparisons.

To get to the point, I do not think there is a program to find ANY duplicate file.

This should help you out a little. Just be carefull using it because you can do more harm then good if you don't know exactly what your doing.

It's packed with Kaspersky antivirus, so you are given the option for a few installs.
