And, have I seen him 'played' ?
Unfortuantly no. But I can still tell you what I liked about his playing, and probably the thing everyone likes. He was innovative and original in almost every aspect of what he did.

I was extremely shocked and upset when I read the whole artical, as it's such a mindless thing for someone to do considering double D probably never even saw it coming.
He is a legend when it comes to heavy metal, and he will be missed!
R.I.P Dimebag, thanks for the music.

I am not in favor of all gun control, but I am in favor of the use of metal detectors in public areas such as nightclubs and concerts. I have seen too many weapons during concerts and In nightclubs to feel safe anymore.
If they arent using metal detectors at the door and checking bags. coats and purses then I don't want to be there. There are too many nutcases running around with guns, knives and even pipe bombs.
Such a shame another talented musician is murdered in cold blood.

"Lets let every idiot and his dog have a gun or 3"
Only way this kind of thing will stop is if you in someway or somehow get a government with brains.

bottom line is, metal detectors and all need to be placed at every public area where big events are held. and because this was not done to begin with, a great guitartist was lost.

There are so many gothic people, or people who dress "gothic" and have big F*king pants with chains all over them and sh*t that go to concerts...it would be way to much of a hassle to have metal detectors or searching people.but I am in favor of the use of metal detectors in public areas such as nightclubs and concerts. I have seen too many weapons during concerts and In nightclubs to feel safe anymore.
If they arent using metal detectors at the door and checking bags. coats and purses then I don't want to be there. There are too many nutcases running around with guns, knives and even pipe bombs.

but yes, I don't understand how someone could kill such a man...I don't understand how someone could kill anyone for that matter...
EDIT: btw, this post has nothing against gothic people lol, just so u all know that.

My gawd, but what a waste of awesome talent.
Just think of all the great bands that were directly influenced by DD and Pantera, Slipknot and Korn to mention just 2! And now think of all the music in the future that wont get written cas a major, influential powerhouse was wasted by some no-life trash.
In the world of metal, its probably the equivalent of Lennon being shot.
Damn but the cops wasted the f**ker (sorry language, but I think its appropriate). I wish I could fly to the states to kick his scumbag corpse a few times!

but the ironic this is that i got my issue of guitar world 2 days after it happen and in the magazine was an poster saying "Pantera: regroup" and it gave out the dates but now there won't be a regroup.

if stupidity was illegal, i think we would have to build a country to send practically everyone to. then the rest of the people thats left would be bored because they would have no entertainment.

al gore was a wuss, had he gotten in as president,he would have made america bend over, pull down its pants and have sign say,"Please F**k us"the US gov. is the worst. Al Gore wanted to change that and take all guns away so there wouldn't be any kind of shooting, but every hillbilly chose for the guy who is president of the NRA.
and u say "hillbillys" voted for the president of the NRA,now thats not fair,im from the south and we own 2 guns where i live,a revolver and a rifle, but i don't want to join up with the NRA,the guns we have are for PROTECTION,from thieves and coyotes.
u saying every hillbilly and guns,i could put that every raghead in the Muslim world will blow themselves up in the name of God.
and yes,it was sad to lose Dimebag,he was up there with Randy Rhodes.
REST IN PEACE DIME
go ahead and bash me and this post,i could care less.

Al Gore wanted to change that and take all guns away so there wouldn't be any kind of shooting, but every hillbilly chose for the guy who is president of the NRA.
