Mages are really one of the hardest to train if not, the hardest. I think mages should be equiped with some stat boosting items and I have an idea for one.
Crown of Corellon Larethian
Armor base: 6, Can be worn by: mages, Description:A crown worn by the greatest elven mage Corellon Larethian. This glittering headset is covered in flawless Emeralds.The crown is perfectly smithed. its a -1 to dex for a +2 on necessary mage stats and how to get it. I'm not to sure possibily a boss drop. a really hard boss  I'm still new to this game and I dont know much of the bosses maybe I should suggest an evil mage?

And i don't think you understand the simplicity of getting this item. Every mage would have one. I thought boss drops were for people who worked for it? not for people who randomly wander to a boss and kill it with ease, i know you said yuo could amke the boss harder, but then how would people get the shield of faith!? You seriosly havent thought this out. Pick another boss to give this item too. Also figure out a balanced modifier.

Why make an item for level 30's if you want to make the class easier to train? I mean, if you want to make them easier to train, try and make an item for level 15-25's or something.

He never said they should be easier to train, all he said was that they are difficult to train thus making this 'reward'.

mages are hard so they should be the most superior. Not so superior that they become untouchable but hard enough to make sure they are one hell of a challenge even to clerics with divine restoration or a berserker with 18 wisdom and 400+ life.

That is just absurd.
I didn't read any posts but the first one.
I think it should be made an alt boss drop or really really spensive in some odd town. Nice piece of equipment just wrong ideas for getting it implemented into the game.
