in my opinion thiefs are a bit to weak
thiefs are not so good armored und there hp isn't so good too
and this reasons i think that thiefs should get a second dagger in the place of the bracers
so that a thief can have a higher normal attack if he want(armor down and damage up)
or a higher defence
the assassinate should be the same like before(in combination with covert it is good enough)
only the normal attack should be changed
and this idea is only for daggers and not for staffs

This actually is not a bad idea. It wouldn't make the thief class overpowering by any means, but it would deffinatly appeal to those fans of just attacking and not assassinating.

Double wielding has been discussed for fighters also. The reason it is turned down is because shields or bracers in this case don't have the equal value to another weapon. Bracers are less. Way less.

Double wielding would have to give a significant armor loss. Shields or bracers in this example are only worth 15-20 tops armor. And when compared to the extra damage you can do thats nothing. So basically everyone would double wield given the chance.

it's a lil more effort i think it would be fair and all if it took two stamina to for one attack with two weapons. i don't think it would be ground breaking to wield to weapons at once, it's not like normal attacks get alot done. you miss more, and do mediocre damage; even with two weapons you'd stand little chance of rounding someone. i think it's because you have 5 chances to screw up as apposed to 1 as in assassinate.

Adds to the ability to BLOCK attacks *Because If your using two daggers you COULD block a blade with one and still attack with the other.* And gives say like MAX 5Ac. If that sounds a tad strong Im sure someone could tweak it.
But that is a small enough damage amount to compensate everyone else because thieves will be giving up valuable armor for more attack, Thus making themselves vunerable.
Erm... I dunno what else to put right now so... Pick it apart people, I wanna see if its a good or bad idea, AND WHY dont forget the why part.

I'd say bad idea.. You lose 2 armour from removing the steel bracers, then gain 5 armour, and an extra 5-10 damage from the dagger.. Doesn't seem to be a very good penalty lol.
Apart from that good idea  Maybe if the dagger was extremely rare?

The Ac thing was an idea under the impression that they got an extra 10-15 Ac for the bracers/shield they were wearing... nevermind the ac then....
Who votes better bracers before this is even considered?

Only equip able if the other weapon is a dagger or unequipped.
Kind of difficult to do it would seem and not necessarily true to the idea of a main gauche but it’s better than nothing...
