Maybe Paladins could get a spell like Sense where they could know how much HP there enemy or monster they are killing has left.

However, when dueling/fighting someone. Do you honestly want to use 50mp (or whatever the cost would be) and a very valuable stamina to check what their hp and mp are.
When it could be used for numerous more heals/attacks/armor etc. Also when they die, you automatically know their hp and possibly mp is at 0. So you've saved yourself the stamina and mana.

Not good against bosses (I remember this one). As someone would just sit as a boss, cast the spell when the monster is at 'Mortally Wounded'. See like 100 hp left, then attack and get the drop.
The system at the moment from that respect is good enough as it stands.
