I think I'd rather have a Cobalt Staff of the Winds opposed to a Blade of Time.

I think a Cobalt Staff of the Winds would be my choice. If you have the money, which isnt likely, your chances of getting it over a blade of time are better. Plus it's magical and ALL classes can use it.

the CSotW is better in my opinion cause if you were fighting a mirror mate (someone with exactley the same weapon, Armour and stats) but you had the CSotW and he had the BoT then i think the person with the CSotW would win cause altough the BoT has a higher base dmg the CSotW can heal so while your both attacking one crit is losing health and one is losing health but also getting health back.

In short i think that the CSotW is better.

could you say something for me? say: D-U-H CSotW is magical, right? so that adds unseen base damage to it, i have seen this with all magical weapons
take the scarlet dagger for example, 7 base damage but it's magic you have a lvl 13 thief with a Dagger of Shadows and another with a scarlet and if they are identical crits (which i doubt could be possible) the scarlet would definately win

Same thing for BoT and CSotW i would much rather pay the whole 10 mil for the cobalt Tongue

I choose Cobalt Staff of the Winds. Since it is magical, it can deal more damage, even though the Blade of Time has a higher base attack. To get to the Island of Chronos, you need to heal the Injured eagle, but you can't do anything without something that will allow the guards to pass them.

Oh, forgot to put it, Cobalt Staff is also vampiric, adding to my preference.

hmm i'd rather have a csotw on my zerkers to compensate for mana loss then a bot.

but with the new weapons i don't think csotw is still worth 10 mil.

I've got both Cobalt and Blade of time. I personally think cobalt is better. It can be used at a lower level and is also vamparic. It is also magical and can be used on a fighter at the Crystal giant. Blade of time to me hits around the same damage anyways. Overall i think the cobalt is better.

The best part about Cobalt Staff of the Winds is the lower level to equip, the vampiric stat, its magical, AND any class can use it. Which means that now you can take anyone to crystal giant and beat him up, without using a spider staff or scarlet dagger, etc etc.

How will a level 30 fighter with BoT defeat a similar level 30 fighter using CSotW? Due to the fact that you cant kill the fighter using cobalt staff unless he has no idea how to attack you, or you have 5 other characters attacking him. Show me that fight and you'll see which is better.

The only advantage the Blade of Time has is that you don't have to dish out all that gold for it, nothing else.

Whether it is or isn't, people have paid for one.
