They wear fiery red and orange doublets and leggings underneath a jet black breastplate and a matching barbute and pair of greaves. The body armour has hemispherical extrusions on the foreplate, and you wonder if the soldier you see before you is female, but upon looking at the initiate's face and build, you actually aren't quite sure, so the potentially unisex armour might just be a means of making them more anonymous.
