I was asked on the specs of my setup and realised they weren't posted anywhere.
So I thought I'd tell you all a bit about what I have and what it does.
From September 2000 to July 2007, Nightmist ran from my house, but due to my ISP NTL changing their policies a bit with traffic shaping on their network and introducing peak time bandwidth capping, I decided to move Nightmist onto one of the servers I have for MrGigabit Internet Services.
This has the advantage of more bandwidth, and won't be constrained by any NTL limited, and is co-located with others I own at a 49pence / RapidSwitch datacenter near London.
Also it will reduce my home power bill, but the costs of hosting make that a mute point really!
The server Nightmist currently runs from:
Dell PowerEdge 860 1U system
Intel Quad core Xeon x3220 (2.4 GHz, 8 MB cache)
4 GB ECC DDR2-667 memory
2x 160 GB SATA 7200 rpm hard drives on raid 1
24x IDE CD-ROM drive
Windows Server 2003
100 mbit internet connection
