New Fighter Innate Ability

Fighters should be able to strike critical hits with their weapons.
The whole point behind the Fighter is that he/she is so well trained with weapons that they can inflict lots of damage.

This ability would not be shown on the ability list, because it would always be active.

Critical hit:
Critical hits deal 1.5-2X damage.

Chance for critical:
Lv1: 5%
Lv5: 10%
Lv10: 15%
LV15: 20%
Lv20: 25%
LV25: 30%
Lv30: 40%

This innate ability of fighters would wake them interesting to fight, especially at arch.

I like this but Simon dosent seem to be doing his stuff because of his leave of balance. But alot of these fighter things should be put in. (didnt want to call them abilities or else they wouldnt be fighters.)

Reduce the chance at arch, we don't want spelled rounds of 50 45 60 120 136, completely kicking other classes asses, and on zerkers, and with a BoT, likee 120+ x6 everytime, maybe even unspelled, maybe like 10% at all lvls, would make em interesting.

I like this idea alot.. one of the best, yet simplest suggestions for fighters ive seen.

1.5x dmg, yes
percentages should be tweaked. criticals shouldnt hit more often than 30% imo

An unspelled fighter might look something like this:

You attacked a monster with your halberd for 55 points of damage.
You attacked a monster with your halberd for 37 points of damage.
CRITICAL!
You attacked a monster with your halberd for 78 points of damage.
etc etc

since fighters hit armor ooo so much atm sounds good, but wont happen trust nothing really ever happens :unsure:

Fighters should ignore "some" armor imo, they are masters of fighting, and would know the weak spot of his opponents.

Better, but still needs a bit of altering imo.

What I would suggest is:

Lv5: 5%
Lv10: 9%
LV15: 14%
Lv20: 17%
LV25: 20%

Level 1 seems too lower level to actually be able to critical hit anything, as I don't think you'd be advanced enough to do so. 20% seems about right (maybe even too high). Think about it: 6 stamina, each attack has a 20% chance of criting with 6 hits your likely to get at least one crit in.

but yeah, its a good idea :unsure:

I think those are a little low, I chose the ones I did because the fighter is trained right away to fight. So getting critical hits would be part of the training, hence the higher % of striking one. I may be willing to drop to 25% which is acceptable, but any lower is threatening to compromise what the idea is about.

25% is too high. Critical hits are meant to be rare things that do huge bonus damage... not things that fighters can do every 1/4 hits.
