Just a thought, it would prolly require quite a bit or work, but if people are interested I'd be willing to help sort it all out. But, I was thinking that we should add some multiplayer gambling games into the gambling hall, seeing as how they arent used much at the moment, I thought that it would add a new edge to the halls. I was thinking games such as poker, as well as just making the blackjack tables multiplayer, anyways, i havent really thought it all out, just an idea that popped into my head. Give me some feedback we can build on. :-)

multiplayer poker (with computer ai available too) will be available in the future, it is a long-term plan, not an immediate addition.

yea texas holdem is awesome if theres nething i could do to help just tell me theres a pretty nice holdem game i play thats for microsoft, maybe u could get a few hints from it. www.poker-software.com

I've never played Texas Hold 'em Poker and am not absolutely certain of the rules, but I would love to see a game like that somewhere in Nightmist on the 1-alt server especially, assuming that the idea is still in the hat.

I can imagine a few players going to Silversail or some other city with a prestige casino and playing a rival clan's founder at Texas Hold 'em in order to own (or be owned) in a way that doesn't involve death; bring on the Straight Flush!

I honestly think we could double our playerbase by having people able to play Texas Hold'em for NM gold...
Like, you could select a bet limit or play no-limit, and all sorts of stuff.

It doesn't seem like it'd be real ridiculous to code...
Showing what cards you have would have to be fully text though---or that's what I'd guess...could be colored at least though.

Actually, for JLH to code, it shouldn't be a big deal.
The testing and tweaking could take a while but we can do that and just relay tweaks back to JLH.

I love the idea i love poker. You could change the town crier to announce poker game times and tournaments that way people would be online to challenge each other. The harder the town to get to the higher the stakes. Except for one that would be placed in a semi difficult place to get back from outside of town. Imagine taking people for everything they have and then having to risk taking it back to town without dieing. It would be like the old days where you had to worry bout running to blackthorn and stuff to level. Supported.
