Currenly only works for 1-alt... multi-alt will come a bit later. But...
There are two new races you can roll... the Dark-Elf and Half-Dwarf.
You will not believe how many years I've had to keep this under wraps. However, the updated clients will allow you to roll these new races (on multi-alt, it will just roll as if it were a human instead, at least until the server is updated in future).
Dark-Elf
Max Stats: 19 20 20 17 21 16
Available Classes: Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Ranger, Thief
Racial Bonuses:
- +10% chance to dodge underground.
- -5% to incoming heals unless underground (penalty).
- +5% damage in shady areas.
Dark Elves are infamous for shunning the surface world of their high cousins and being as treacherous to their own kin as other races. Nevertheless, co-operation is not impossible, as proven historically between the drow and dwarfs who shared the tunnels under Mt. Melior, but generally there is a lot of distrust if there isn't straight-up hostility. Nevertheless, with murmurings of a great demonic threat stirring within the Underdark that threatens kingdoms high and low, one Lolthian branch of drow has braved the blinding sun and approached a nearby city with offerings of an alliance against their unseen enemy, unaware that the city state is an unwilling vassal to an empire that has its own problems with a Kiaransaleean sect... not that dark-elven politics concern their king. As a result, the pact is tenuous at best, and many citizens would much prefer the ashen-haired rogues return to the place from whence they came.
Half-Dwarf
Max Stats: 20 19 18 20 19 18
Available Classes: Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Paladin, Thief, Berserker, Pacifist (multi-alt only)
Racial Bonuses:
- +2.5% experience.
- +2.5% damage underground.
Some humans find love in the rough, tough and stoic nature of the dwarfs rather than the fair and graceful elves, while dwarfs also admire the creativity and adaptability of humans to any role they are given. Half-Dwarven children are uncommon but not unheard of. They are notably shorter than most humans but tower above their dwarven cousins, while retaining much of the flexibility of their human ancestors and some of the reliable bulk of their dwarven heritage, and unlike their Half-Elven counterparts, they are wholly welcomed into Dwarven communities.
