I wanted to try a change...so i put in the link and it froze. After trying it a bunch of times nothing. I removed the one i had for now to check and still nothing. I thought maybe it was the site i used....so i tried some random ones off the web. Still nothing. Now im avatarless...lol. Any1 have any idea what's wrong. I have tried different computers also and it's still the same thing.

edit: btw...it lets me choose from the forum ones (the captain american one i have now). But still not from links offsite.

Not sure what to tell you, just that it's always worked for me. (That's a first)

My only guess would be something to do with on the forums itself, or your browser being out of date perhaps?

I doubt it's the browser because I have it automatically updating. And it happens on both Mozilla and IE so I doubt it's because of that also.

Could be in forum settings, but I will look more into it unless JLH leaves you guys something to do. Hope he doesn't have you guys check with your ISP and can be solved.

I've heard of double posting.. But in the same post, insane.

Tried changing avatar while using a different Forum skin? One skin didn't allow people to set their Avatar text, so may be a similar problem..

I had to mess with skins. I kept getting "Page cannot be displayed" error. I went through nearly all of the skins to see if that was the problem. I switched to the Northstar-Blue skin and it allowed me to upload my avatar. ^.^

I was sooo hoping that would work. I still got the page cannot be displayed still. And for the record....i've tried gifs and jpegs.

Failing all this then, memo or PM me your Forum acc details, along with the url to the image and I'll give it a go for ya.

Appears to be a problem with the actual forum, I'm having the same problem trying to work it out.. I was able to remove it with ease, just no longer put it back

I'm not sure what the problem with this is, but it looks like a configuration problem with Invision. Unfortunately, only JLH can really look into this at all.

The only suggestion that I have is to try using only images that are 64x64 rather than pointing to a much larger image.

edit: But yeah...going to have to wait on JLH for this one.

I really have no idea as I didn't write the forum software, it doesn't affect anyone else except you.

I tried making another account and same thing. And three other ppl on this post have the same problem also. I have noticed other ppl who have removed their avatars and now r avatarless.
