I'm not against the idea of paying 50k to start a mosh, but when 30 players log on all their alts at the same time, it makes it very hard to do anything. Maybe I'm wrong, but this could really cause problems for some players. I think it would be fine, but if people continuously start moshes, then it gets a bit crazy. Just an observation/opinion.
EDIT: It makes the game somewhat laggy. Or maybe just on my computer.

Any event tends to lag me a tiny bit. But if it happens to be where a lot of people are joining an event, it lags me down a lot.

Here's a suggestion though. Only allow a crit to enter an event one time. Meaning... Mysticstorm joins the mosh. Mysticstorm leaves mosh.

I shouldn't be able to re-enter the mosh once i had joined and left. That's where I majorly get lagged out because you'll see a crit enter and leave a mosh about 10-20 times until the mosh actually happens and that gets majorly annoying. I did the whole /togglemosh but it doesn't stop from showing who is entering or leaving mosh.

I have broad band on a computer that is less than a year old with lots of extra RAM and Memory that I put into it and I don't run around on 20 alts. JLH, you have stated before that the events themselves can lag the server a little bit. It's only natural that the server would have lag if a lot of crits were logged on at once and then your screen flashing with nothing but a ton of names entering or exiting the moshes non-stop which again can cause lag to happen on the server. Sometimes the entering and exiting messages can be like a 20 alt zerker party that containes 2-3 players behind the alts fighting at rapid speeds killing a boss.

Nightmist doesn't usually go above 5% cpu usage, except for once an hour when it does the database saves which takes a few seconds (and the game pauses while it happens).

set a limit of, say 5 alts unless:

mosh is restricted to one class
mosh is clan restricted
mosh is started by staff member

I'm having a random problem on NM which gives me a sec or two with a frozen screen even if I'm only on 1 alt at the time. That's with a 10<ul>/100<dl>mb Broadband connection and a 2.9 ghz cpu. But I guess I should just go look for a better connection and buy a new computer when I'm at it.

PS.
WoW works with no problem at all, but it must be at my end surely.

Well, my computer is like last year's model, and I'm on a dial-up connection. During events, I'll have about 6 crits on just because I was probably training, and during the event, I don't lag at all :(

So, it's your connection
