I'm from a Christian family but no idea what sort. I don't believe in it myself, (neither do pretty much all of my family), though I was christened and we do have marriages in churches etc.

Protestant, of the go-to-church-at-christmas/christenings/confirmations kind.
Actually I do believe, but I don't think you have to go to church on a regular basis.

Christian, as I believe in christ. I do not go to church much anymore. I choose to put my faith in God not man. Im not saying church is wrong for those christians out there that go, but my relationship with God is between myself and him. Not my fellow church members, or some man standing behind a booth who some would confide there deepest secrets in. Tell God about it, hes the only one who wont judge you ^_^

Agnostic.

Oh. On a semi-related note, does anybody consider "Nihilism" to be a religion? I know its a philosophy/school of thought, but still. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask :x

What the what?

Atheist. The supposed-to-be one is Buddhism, since my grandparents believe it and so everyone in the family has to follow the tradition...., but I find religions somehow bothersome and head-breaking.

I'm a Christian of the Southern Baptist. But when I first thought of becoming one, mostly what was on my mind was thinking was being able to get to heaven while doing anything I want. But because I've listened to the sermons and read some of my bible, I've learned a few things about Christianity that are important. It's just how you perceive the bible that creates different viewpoints of it, therefore making more branches on the Tree of Christianity.

I've always seen Atheism as a sort of 'I don't want to believe', opposed to just, not knowing either way (Agnostic).

I agree with you to a certain extent on that, though one of my athiest friends pointed something out to me a while ago...

It takes a certain ammount of faith to believe in nothing.

(by to a certain extent, I mean a lot of people say Athiest, whether or not they have actual faith in nothing, or they just say say it because they don't have faith. Because I think the distinction is important...)

What the what?

I pray to god, but I don't belive he exists.
My whole family is catholic but I see no need to follow their path, but I go to church on special occasions to make my grandmother happy.

whats the point of praying to someone who you don't believe exists? am i the only 1 who finds that pointless?
