Are clerics really essential in parties, or can they be replaced by another class, like Palidins? I mean, look at it this way, A Pally can heal and attack, while a cleric is only good for healing. And if someone brings two Pallys with them, then a cleric it unneeded entirely. So just post your opinion if you feel the need.

I think it really comes down to preference. If you want 1 full time healer who is pretty much singularly devoted to the healing and defense of the party, then a cleric is nice. If you want someone who can also help out more with the offensive side when healing isn't needed constantly, a paladin or 2 is in order.

Once your cleric and paladin have aid you will see a big difference, with heal Paladins are supreme, their heal spell is unmatched, but their aid maxes in the mid to high 50s and sometimes 60s. Clerics however, can heal upwords of 100 at level 24, when they get their fourth stam, which is just so much better healing. Also, paladins skills at fighting are fairly garbage. Using Divine Might and Enhance on your cleric will make him a formidable warrior indeed. his str skyrockets by about 10 points, gets something like 4 dex, and regens an extra stamina. This makes your cleric more powerful than any paladin. So yes, in my opinion a cleric is very necesary in a party, especially while training, with their buffs like enhance, rightous fury, and consecrated embrace which makes anyone fighting undead a whole lot better. Clerics are vital.

i usualy just use a lvl 25 pally, he heals for about 55-60, works for most places, but when you go after a boss or whatnot, its better to ahve a cleric.
I believe in the Triune God;God the Father, the Son , and the Holy Spirit.I believe that while I was helpless and sinful, Christ died for me. Therefore, I now have the righteousness of God, old things have passed away and I am a child of God. I cannot be separated from the love of God, Christ lives in my heart by faith and therefore, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I have been chosen by God and appointed to bear fruit for God. I resist the devil and he flees from me.

Try healing a party of mortal 500+hp zerkers with pallies.... 4 stam per round and 100+ heal = 400 heal per round, as opposed to pallies who have 3 stam per round and 60 heal = 180

And ignore the pallies better attack, if you are using pallies as your sole healers you will never get a chance to get a swing in against a decent monster

A cleric is a nice attacker if a dwarf, get a Cobalt, cast all spells, and you will hit for 60+ atleast.
