yes I seen this file many times before and I would like to know what is it and what does it do. its call "Mswinsck.ocx" any idea on what it does and is for?

on nightmist its used so that u can send data to the server and reiceve data from the server

yep, i use that rather than writing massive amounts of code to talk directly to winsock.

ok here is another question... what if i get that file and copy it to the computer at work, will that screw up anything at all? change any kind of settings at all.. just need to know so i could play nightmist one break :P

installing nightmist does that for you
yes it would work if you registered it with regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx

lol.. sorry.. i already knew about the regedit, but it won't allow me because of administrators restrictions... o.0 crap

I tried a lot of stuff to get .dlls to work at school. Not got a way yet but a friend recons he can do it now :P

Neither can we its because it won't let you install the dlls probably.

lol nah it the stupid system settings, i can't install anything :P it won't let me run exe files ^_^

i by-pass the executing of the .exe programs, just that the files are not register, so i've been finding a way to get by that so i could have some off time from my work and do a little of nightmist...
