[color=blue]As for the exp chart done by Rappy, he trained the pally in rax without any spells.
He trained the cleric with holy might and CE---I think in zeum, but may have been in rax also.

both were in rax with ce and gnome has 10 wis and is gnome + lvl 28 k ty

People are complaining about PvP, when will you people learn the only good way to own is to run around with 5 arch zerkers and a cleric.

No one has posted in pally discussion since Nov 15.

Better get the ball rolling again.

Now that I have Arch'd Crane, I've tried some duelling. If I can win, with just Crane, versus 2 level 30 opponents, a Berserker with a Halberd and a Thief with an Emerald Dagger (I had a Rose Blade), with no pots or mana crystals, I think Paladins are good enough as they are. The only class that can beat Paladins in a duel, to my experience, is a Druid with a Hawk Talon (it sapped away all my mana for healing!) Paladins can hold their own very well.

As for training, try training Paladins as you would Clerics rather than Fighters and such; that is, healing Undead monsters - it worked quite well for me.

I stick by what I said earlier in this topic - allowing them to stack their stat-boosting spells would make them much more powerful than what they are already... too powerful.

Paladins (HEALERS) can beat zerkers (NON-HEALERS) and thieves (NON HEALERS) in 1v1 and 1v2's.... Big wow

1) (assuming decent crits) Healing characters will always beat non healers unless the the non-healer gets a lucky round in. Druids will usually beat healers coz of the mana sap.

2) Duelling one class against a different class is pointless unless the one most likely to lose has vastly superior eq and is trying to show it off and beat a class it would normally lose to

3) Who cares? The only times ull see a paladin vs a couple of crits like that is in a clan arena, fighting against yourself or a close friend

4) Duels are pointless. The only times you ever get 1v1 is in the mosh arena, and the winner there is almost always the one with the most pots, or who rounds opponent

Pallies are useful to champs strength to help train low level crits, and thier self-strength bonus combined with clerics enhance can make them hit pretty hard. But other classes can do it better.

The 'can both heal and fight' is not really all that its made out to be... take 2 parties, one with 2 pallies and one with 1 cleric n 1 ranger (we'll use rangers not zerkers so people cant say 'its coz of the 6 stam'), vs a tough hard-hitting monster. Only spells lasting 1 min or more are allowed (no RF/AR/BH)

Pallies - 1 pally heals 3*60=180hp per round. 1 pally hits for 3*60=180hp per round

Cleric/ranger - cleric heals for 110*4=440 per round, ranger hits for 90*3=270 per round

see what i mean? The pallys 'heal AND fight' should really be 'heal OR fight'

Id like to see pallies improved, esp. vs monsters as theyve always been valued members of my parties in other games, but here they seem to be nothing other than crit trainers (unless you have a base 30 sword equipped of course  )

I play a paladin solo simply because I like to play one alt, and it is self sufficient. I don't need to kill a tough monster in 3 rounds with the paladin like a party of rangers would, but I merely peck away at 'em and heal when needed. It might take 10+ rounds but it makes the game more ejoyable for me. I think I am one of the few people in the game who really enjoy the game and am not powerhungry. I don't need to be able to kill a boss alone, I like to party up with groups and kill stuff.

Pallies don't need any real boosts. I see them as monster killers, or party leaders as I believe Crane said earlier. They are not and will never be a pking class nor a class in a pking party or a mosh superclass. 95% of the people in this game are out for pking and power, thats why hardly anyone use them and people say they need improvements.

Only thing I would like to see change for pallies would be some boss drops exclusively for pallies.

My 2cents - Autek
Autek in game.
