Something rather odd is going on with the computer i'm running nightmist on.

Those are the screen shots I took to show what's going on. Crane was nice enough to help me try and figure out the source of the problem and to host the screenshots for me. If anyone has an idea as to what might be going on, i'd appreciate any help.

I set my screen resolution to 800x600, the resolution required for nightmist. When I attempt to open the client it says that my screen resolution is incorrect and I need to set it to 800x600. For me to be able to open the nightmist client i have to set my resolution to 1024x768.

it looks like you are using nightmist with a non default dpi setting - nightmist only works on the normal setting on win9x systems

I know this is an old post, but I have the same visual issue. My laptop's recommended setting is 1680 X 1050 and I can't lower it without the whole screen going strange. Is there any way someone could make a skin that would better fit the resolution size I've got or is there something I can do to make my screen not so wonky? I'm using one of the Space skins because I've always liked the look...and the screen looks sort of normal minus the whole shrunk/cant see the whole xp bar look lol But in the create a character mode where I roll a new character (aka the evil roller) the first three of the stats...the words not the numbers...doesn't show up. So I get all six numbers but only four words - dex con wis cha - it throws me off a bit lol Pretty please JLH can you make a skin that's nice but gives those of us stuck with higher resolution (or lower resolution not sure which it's considered) screens a work around so our screens can look normalish? I still play, but it would be nice to be able to SEE what my exp is at (150,000,000/150,000,000) instead of guestimating o.o as I've said I did TRY to change my screen's resolution down to 1080 x 768 (or something like that) which works fine for nightmist but the screen was....too too too TOOO big! Horrible. I had a giant sized nighmist client screen that filled up way more than the screen lol getting the resolution back to normal was....interesting. Anyways just figured I'd ask since there's no harm in asking. Merry Christmas JLH

Bumping an old topic....Does anyone know of a skin that fits this resolution?

screenshot that RJ originally posted shows the issue --  there's a black bar at the bottom and along the right of the screen (it's hard to notice the one on the right of the screen with the default skin, but it's very obvious on a skin like Compact). The default skin fills out the extra space, but nothing lines up right. The space can be used, though, so I'm wondering if anyone's made a skin? If not, would anyone be willing to make one (or, tell me how to make one)?

 

 

(if someone would update "compact" to fit a higher screen resolution,  I would love you forever)

I edited the Compact skin myself -- i just threw this together real quick because I really wanted to play, but I can refine it to make it look nicer.

I wasn't able to get the image to stretch unfortunately...making it any larger crashes the skin, and I don't care to explore and figure out why . 

 

If anyone had a similar problem with their resolution and would like a copy of this skin, I'd be happy to share -- I think there's some sort of approval process to upload? Alternatively, It's just a text file, so I guess I could send you a PM with the text to paste in notepad and save as a .skn rather than sending a file.
