10-4 on that , no actually the idea has already began to form into something else...keep your eyes open for the Anti- Cabbage coming soon.

I expected the replies mostly, just what irritates me a lil bit is the people who pretend there's nothing wrong...and are only on this forum to belittle others.

I am joyous to see only 1 person was brave enough to vote 'Its okay like it is' which is the affirmation I needed to move the thought, with new allies I've found today to the next level.

We can do something, because this is our world ! I was just really curious to see how many other clan chairman we're actively trying to be 'good' leaders, and how many sit back and just try to baske in the lil fame that comes with the position.

Squee, I will never interfere in your game play because you are a team player, and apparently like the others I mentioned in the 1st post, a respectable player.

As for you chairman that won't do anything, I'll have tissues aplenty for you when us of those that are 'better' leaders unsurp your ranks. All the gold in all the worlds won't earn you the respect you get from being a team player and a good clan chairman(woman).

Why you act like being a chairman makes you anymore important over other players? Really it means you own a clan or represent a clan in most cases id a group of friends.

EDIT: Just to point out this is a serious question not a dig at you.

Important , it doesn't... But it does make you an example like it or not.

Question is as chairman what kind of example are you going to be. A leader of a nation, a township a village they all face the same dilemna and they all have to participate in politics and diplomacy or suffer defeat for refusing to.

Gangas Kahn was a leader...he chose to destroy and be hateful...and was perhaps even good at it...but in the end he was destroyed by great leaders who allied together under an Emperor who was better at playing the game.

This would have been a wonderful side effect of this 'doomed' idea, is that those that stood up to the plate and didn't abuse it would have risen to the top, while the cabbages, who only think of immediate gain would of eventually sunk themselves.

These are desicions we all have to make in life, and in the game....but again really my only intention here is to help staff and the decent players out there to hopefully avoid similar dilemna's as Cartoon, and many others who have lost all there hard work because 1 person figured out how to 'hose' them, even though they were nice people.

By the way , I the King of £EGEÑd§ ôf thë Mí§T chose to be a good leader even if it takes some of my game time to accomplish it.

Play well and have fun.

Being a chairperson is extremely rough. There is making money for clan rooms, running newbies all over the game, keeping current clan members in line, solving all the little squabbles within the clan, handling the problems my clan starts with others or vice versa, yadda yadda.. It can be rough a lot of days. Either way, doesn't matter.. got a plan in motion.

One point I'd like to make is this is a little bit of an RPG game. Well wouldn't it be right to give the leaders of this game a little bit of power?

No...... I say this as one of those "leaders"(clan ranked 9 atm) I am a fairly new player if compared to alot of the player base,Ive been around a year and a half -2 years.... and honestly there are people I do not like and I don't think I could be fair 24/7 with it lol, I also do not want the burden of this. However I do think something needs to be done in certain situations game cleaned up from thieves and people who just log on to chat and cuss people out, start drama, ect. and not actually play the game. after all that would free the lag uite a bit for the rest of us who enjoy training and boss killing still. NM is a game not a chat program.

As for nm being a rpg its far from it now with the exeption of amy and aeryn and squee and very few others.

/nods at Gnarkill

I agree with most of what you said, and I think if we nominated sheriff's instead of automatically making it a chairman duty you could appreciate the idea.

I do disagree with the RPG statement though. If you want to roll a half orc, and talk like your a beast...you can. Bummer is with so many alts it's hard to tell if your role playing or just being crude.

I try to be as Armand in Interview with a Vampire being I am tagged Vampire King. Which is why of course some of you think I'm obstinate and vain, when actually I'm an ol skool hippy. It's me playing NM the way it was supposed to be played, in character. :( Vampires are immortal hunters, that could care less about the world....and ask anyone who has run into the necro's (Necropsi, Necrostorm, Necroknight, etc) I play that role to the tee.

Again, this is something the Chair can initiate by example in a clan. When members join £EGEÑd§ ôf thë Mí§T I ask them what legend they represent. SoulFire is Dragonmaster, Cappucinno is Cherubs, Bender is prince of Darkness etc, etc. This is why I have to disagree, as will Ace because we play RPG style.

Again thanks for all the responses and watch for the AntiCabbage to help put a damper on thieves until the new staff arrives and is active.

Play well and Have Fun.

Then you would fit into the "few others " category, there is not many people that play nm as a rpg still if you look at the ratio of players to players who treat it as a rpg and not as a glorified chat program instead of a game.

I love roleplaying. Played dungeon and dragons for 6 years and then did online RPG's for 7 years. It's sad when someone mentions role play in this game, first thing that comes to mind is cyber sex (which I refuse to do). I have however found several people in this game that used to play the same RPG's that I have. It would be so much more interesting if people role played in this game. The clan wars would be so much more awesome.

Again thanks all !

A few players and I have decided to do something, until staff has control of the problem of theft and hatred.

/who anticabbage gives you a link where you'll find a wall of shame.

Take it for what it's worth, just sayin if your about to trade and don't know the person, maybe you'd want to look em up and see if there's any recent complaints.

Your Anticabbage idea is sound enough, but it is too open to corruption - someone can easily report an innocent person for theft and their good identity be destroyed.

I'm sorry... but it need be said... for you to do such a thing, you need a broad open mind as to what theft is... and it seems.. you hardly have an idea for it.. as you only have 4 people on your abusers and beware list together... there seems to be no thieves on there at all.. just "maybes" as Metallica, doesn't steal... he's a decent guy... and you havn't got the main people known as "thieves". I must ask how long you've been playing the game...

but all in all good luck in trying to bring this to popular use... it's a good idea... just needs working on abit more. Find out more on what people are banned for and what people call thieves "thieves" for... you're list might get bigger... as for people helping with this... Could be work not needed to them. It just creates hassle and arguements.

Not at all. xD

...But getting back on topic, I think this anti-cabbage idea is rather interesting.

Crane has a point about it being easy to manipulate, but nonetheless, I'd like to see where this idea goes.

It certainly has potential.

True, someone can easily report an innocent, but, those that run the site also investigate the claims to the fullest extent. If found innocent, they are removed.

Metallica. I don't know what the deal is with that. I wasn't investigating it though I could, but I think Legends was. Also, if the known thieves are not on there, it's because no one is reporting the known thieves. I'm not gonna go through forums and report every accusation of theft. I don't know if anything was done to prove that they were by JLH so again, I'd have to consider them innocents. But as Legends explained, you guys can report them. Many people wanted to make known who thieves were, well, now you got that place. And so you know, I've only been playing a year and during this passed year hardly any thefts and even if I wanted to go and research who all stolen, couldn't because I know most of the theft posts were deleted. So help the game out, go to anti-cabbage, report the known thieves.

Shouldnt you already have a good general knowlege of who the thieves are though in order to do such a thing and not rely totally on the player base but your own personal knowlege aswell... Abit hopeful on being helped out... If people were more enthusiastic then sure... but people are lazy... And from the year you've played i'm quite sure all the thieves have been called thieves alot... Seeing as people dont forget.

Again read my last post. Accusation yes, but don't know if ever proven. Since I have no knowledge of the thefts other than the fact that there was accusations, I can't just simply put someone up there. That's the responsibility of the person who was stolen from or from people who have the direct knowledge of it. If you know who the known thieves are, post em up here. Cause every time someone accuses someone anyways, the posts were being deleted.

Thank you Mystic, I hadn't realised this thread was still alive, lol, but I'm glad it is.

Here's your incentive to help 'Lazy Ones', maybe one day you will bring a new player, who is 1 of your rl friends. Afterall, you can be kewl and help em roll ( like I did when I brought Medora here years ago), and get em a good start. Wouldn't it be nice to tell them, "Oh and btw if your going to trade or even buy something off the web go by the Anticabbage 1st and make sure your not supporting a thief..or trading with one."

I don't really care how long or extensive the list gets, this is my and a few others service to this community cause like it or not we kinda like you folks. Point is every report is looked into, ( example Metallica, pay or replace the crits as you 'promised' and your name will be removed) which takes away from my and others game time. For us the pride of knowing we helped makes it somewhat worthwhile....but more than that; the idea that we might have saved a 'kind' person from being 'hosed or harassed' is the greatest reward indeed.

So those of you that know of habitual violators quit procrastinating and go to Anticabbage Report Theft or Abuse, and help us to help you.

Also know this, I ask all of you to report the incident to JLH 1st then go to the Anticabbage. We are a preventative, but JLH and Pandilex are likely a solution.
