;) Aight....check this out...you got your pacci's with there temple, pallie's with there new area...fighters and zerkers go to sarka and devestate up there, clerics got the illumi tunnels and racks, druids and rangers can go just about anywhere....but there is not a real theif area.....i know alot of people in nightmist love to use theives.....but there is just not really a place for us...most of us are just carried around to store stuff...lets see about getting a theif only area...perhaps open a new area up behind airlin, or somewhere south of nightmist besides the gnolls huh?would be nice...give some positive feed back...no crap...maybe this will work out well, who knows...

And why are they lame? because you said so? Thieves have there thief only areas and sarka is hardly a place for fighters and zerkers.

Not Supported, give a class that dont have a class only area an area such as fighters or rangers maybe mages since there almost useless in a normal party (almost as in there useful for there vortex gate but nothing else really)

Malok's is a little plain, I'll give you that. However, saying the Scarlet Daggers Guild is lame isn't right. It's one of the best thought out and produced areas there are.
Something that's a shame is that the original /web link became broken when Cyric's server was taken down (something like that), and no one ever bothered to fix it. Basicly, in that it said the area was for a group of low level characters, or a solo level 20 character. You probably just got a map from somewhere, and stormed the area, not paying attention. In which case, it isn't the best. With a few characters the baddies are easy, and the prize lame.
I put it to you, you attempt the area with a lower level character, and check every description, /examine, /read and wall.

Moan over.

Mages could do with a well thought out and produced area though.

look....the malok area is something you really need a mass party of theives to attempt, the scarlet dagger area is alright if you are a low lvl like 12 to 17....the swamps just get old after a while, all you really do is bash vines, hatchings, and the heads...i am talking about an area where there is more variety in the things you kill...instead of master theives...hatchlings...and little roguey looking theives in scarlet area...does not have to be a boss...does not have to be anything fancy..just something that would make people linger in the area for a while...we theives have nothing like that...everything is smash and grab for gold and exp.Every now and then i would like to go throw, enjoy a little time picking off some monsters in an area where i know have some down time, and not worry about who or what is going to smash me next...ya know what i mean....

It sounds like you want a safe place to train thieves. There are many places to train... you just need to find them. Having trained twelve thieves to become assassins, I can say quite definately that thieves have a very large variety of good training spots. Start looking around at what is already out there.

I agree with Alone that SDG is one of the most unique and well-designed areas in game. If you actually look around, it is one of the very few places in game where almost no two squares are the same.

Thieves are already able to go into more class-restricted areas than almost any other class. Go explore and appreciate what is out there before demanding new areas.

Just incase people are forgetting Mages Druids and clerics can also enter scarlet daggers guild, it's not just a thief place.

I know there is a thief only place already but it would be nice to see another. Maybe make a Jail area in one of the towns where you've got to use stealth to get past guards (chance to dodge trap but in RP sense) in order to kill a nemesis who's been sent to prison or something along those lines.

But i'm also all for Mage Fighter and Zerker areas, i just prefer thieves.

The Mansion? Haha. You call that a viable area?

i forgot mansion i aint been there in such a long time... but there are only 3 things to kill in there and 1 drops a pointless item and the other 15k which is ok for newer players but not as impressive as it used to be.

Rangers and Druids have Natura. An all Berserker area would be a bit tricky, since without a cleric, berserkers go through hp like crazy. I like the idea of a Fighter only area. That would take planning and thought.

More on topic, I think thieves are fairly set at the moment. Mansion could use a bit of a touch up. (Crane...that seems to be your speciality -wink-) Scarlet Daggers Guild is an awesome place as well. Really fun to do.

well i'd like to take back my comments on scarlet its OK but it gets boring,
maloks is boring too me, been a few times only killed once way way back when..
idk i like messiahs idea add something for zerks lol
for thiefs make it a good training place for 25-30 for me its hard to level thiefs thru those doubt anything will get added though since most of nm dissagress with thiefs bc you dont own them or juss dont like em?
i usually juss buy arches or something lol
tacit *cough*
yeah but lol i think we need an area for thiefs + new weps new equips lol
would like to see thiefs stronger harder to hit since pretty much anything can round a thief nowadays prolly my favorite/underpowered class

For someone who started the game playing thieves only for the first year I played I think there are enough thief only areas and that you should just hook up your party with a cleric and try some of the new areas on them they can be fun in any area in game so far that theyre allowed in that i have seen. just a different challenge, thief only areas in game are good enough and I beg to differ about you need a whole party for maloks i used to bring 2 or 3 experts down there with pots and train....

Making an area for classes that are unable to heal just means you have to be creative. NPCs can heal you, examines that pop up healing potions or various items that can be exchanged for other healing potions, or using the 'crafting system' (I use that term lightly)..
Am sure people can come up with other ideas, just a couple of examples I thought of ;)

when i think of a thief's playground i think of a gold lvl'ing and no one casting vision. malok's area was great before it's initial changes, wonderfull risk-taking enviroment.

right now there is a thief area, but no place that a thief's abilities are used to their funnest potential. i believe it would have to be a lucrative training/gold earning spot where no one can cast vision. that way theives can actually steal to the limit of thier skill, and people hunting there will have to be ready for a fight/flight scenario in a seconds time.

it would just have to have some kind of characteristic of that sort. thieves by nature put themselves at great risks for thier rewards, ergo, anyone who enters should do the same.

what happened to make the thief areas in game now so dull is that there's no more risk or rewards for going there as apposed to anywhere else, and it's not that dangerous.
