[Banishment]

Please someone tell me there are other monsters that drop Black Shards. Its bad enough you need a Seal of Betrayal just to enter the gd place and after killing 390-400 Black Knights, i only have 12 fking shards. Its also fun trying to solo with anything other than a ranger because of the armor/hp making 1 black knight a 2-4 minute kill while Black Paladins heal themselves making them unsoloable.

 

So... Anything else that drops these?

Nothing that's convenient enough that you could kill alone. The seal of betrayals aren't too hard as they're dropped by the undead necromancer and it's a pretty common drop, like 25% and it's hourly. Though you're correct, they aren't exactly easy to get. I suppose you could park a cleric by the singular Death Knight and just kill it every 10 minutes. The other 2 monsters suck though. It's pretty much near impossible to do alone.

I don't see getting in to Forest of Silence being more than an aggravating quest, but the drop rates aren't the best when you do get inside.  I am pretty sure I tried to farm the shards for fun one evening and I killed several with maybe 1 drop.  I invested maybe 2 hours and yielded nothing.  Darksparrow runs usually yield 1 or 2, but that is with a group.  Clerics requiring Essences can also be a pain, though I haven't seen that issue ever being brought up.

Any player who plays any class and invests time I to training said character, should be entitled to have both systems available to them. Period.

I was able to get some help from some people for my cleric tokens for 35. It only takes 5 clerics to do it, Don't use potions just have 1 cleric heal spell and all will end up good. If you try to us potions you'll go through way too many (I think the first time we did that we went through like 1100 potions, with heals we went through like 100 mana crystals). Each class does have some crappy stuff though.

 

Clerics: They have no 38/39 system right now. Spirit Essence is pretty crappy to get alone but can be done.

 

Druids: I would say only rough one is Soul Prison, which is pretty impossible to get alone. You can't go to Tomb and getting to the 4th area of Harabec Dungeon isn't going to happen, meaning you only have the Undead Necromancer to get Soul Prisons from (which a druid isn't going to kill alone) meaning you have to buy them from other people who are killing the Necromancer.

 

Fighter: Scorpion Tails and Item X (Do players know the 39 requirements?) suck alone with a fighter. Black Shards I feel would be near impossible, though I don't know that for sure.

 

Mage: Anomalous Metal Shards can be done alone but I mean, come on, not really? Same can be said about Dark Mutagen but atleast if you can get in and have some mana dropped (a lot of mana) you should be fine.

 

Paladin: Anomalous Shards and Mummy Dust isn't really fun, however both can be gotten easier then some of the other classes and Black Shards are a joke to get by them. Their output against the high armor just isn't worth the effort.

 

Rangers: By far the easiest class. It's actually kinda laughable how easy there's is in comparison to the other classes. 1 keys in area which a ranger can get to alone and monsters that give pretty good xp compared to other classes. The mobs are mostly easy to get to and all fit within a Rangers abilities.

 

Thief: Silent Leathers suck to get as their drop rate is low. Insect wings are nearly impossible to get alone by a thief.

 

Berserker: I wouldn't want to fight scorpions with a 35 zerk. Zerks don't have the better dropping wolves that rangers and druids get and Wolves do not play well into the zerks abilties at all. 

 

If it was up to me, I would change every mob I listed above for each class. But we have what we have and pretty much got to work together to get it done I suppose.
