Im not big on roleplay descriptions, but the spell should work like this:

Lv25 for use
25mp to cast
1 stamina or 2
The person casted on is instantly sent to local (for party members and self only)

To Mage: You cast Warp on <name> and he vanishes!
To <name>: <mage> casts Warp on you and you vanish!
To everyone in area: <mage> casts Warp on <name> and he/she vanishes!
To people in pub: <the same message that people see for pacifists teleporting back to local>

Assuming people wouldnt abuse this for selfish gain, it would be a great addition to helping lost people (or if you were lost yourself), or after a long hard journey or training session. This would make mages, again, more practical for use.

Been a while since you played, aye? :P

It's a good idea.. But I'm not too such on it. Can't really see it being put in for open use, maybe just self use.

I like this idea alot but it should be a mage only not party spell, as if the party was transported it would turn mages into Taxi's even more than they are now.

It would also mean that those of us who solo train could escape pk'rs more easily.

If it were a party spell ya would just need to adjust Vortex Gate, not create a new spell.

well i dont think it would AS useful as it could be with just mage use.. but unfortunately, I cant think of a way to prevent mages from abusing this power...

perhaps alt-use only? that would be better than self-use and still not leave it open for abuse.

Takes away part of the use of invisibility- you're solo mage training somewhere, a big party walks by you- typical mages would make themselves invisible, and move around so they were not spotted with vision. Make it mage-only use, and when nothing and nobody else is on the square, and then maybe....

Yeah, otherwise if you're not fast enough, the Mage can just Warp and get away. So I agree with the spell... but just make it so it's only available if it's an empty square. ( As Sneaky said )

Make the spell an advanced Vortex Gate (Apparate). It would be a level 29/30 spell, would cost say 1/2mil from the shop accessed by Vortex Gate from Tiggy's Magic shop or a Vortex Gate from the Level 30 Mage Guild to another specialised shop.

It would only be castable for the mage + 1 member of the mages party if there is more than 1 member in the party the mage would get the message "You do not have the energy to apparate so many people", and only castable from a cities tavern. You have 10 sets for the 'Apparition', and each set can only be made from a tavern that the mage has actually visited, and must be set whilst in the tavern.

For example: This could be a typical setup
/apparateset 0 (Nightmist)
/apparateset 1 (Arilin)
/apparateset 2 (Blackthorn)
/apparateset 3 (Sarka)
/apparateset 4 (Silver Sail)
/apparateset 5 (Kantele)
/apparateset 6 (Harabec)
/apparateset 7 (Dendeya)
/apparateset 8 (Windia)
/apparateset 9 (Clan House, must be a member of that clan as must the other person if used with +1 party member)

Then to 'Apparate' from one city to the other. /cast apparate/0-9

i like the idea that 'Warp' should create a vortex gate on the square
The vortex gate created on the square should last maybe 10 seconds or so, and anyone can use it to be transported BACK to their local. that would definetely solve the abuse that would come with warping people away who dont want to be warped.

As for transporting from one local to another, as expressed by eternyte, that is a different idea than what im trying to hit at- but also a good idea.

My idea is to be able to create a vortex gate (or some other effect) that transports anyone from any location back to their local.

good idea as it may be to traverse from pub to pub.......

I suggest that mages be able to warp back to their LOCAL and possible even enable others to go back to THEIR local.. in effect, making mages more practical for use.

Or more like a taxi service.

Joe_Fighter: I really, REALLY need to get to town... Can you warp me?
Jane_Mage: ...How badly do you need to go?
Joe_Fighter: Pretty bad...*bleeds out of face*
Jane_Mage: Well, just give me all the gold you have now and you can pay me the 10k difference when we get back.

Say your a mage and your with a load of people fighting the time knight wait till it gets to mort then cast the spell on everyone except your party :P Mage user should seriously like this idea.

A way to fix this: You must accept to be warped or something?

lol yea.. thats the kind of abuse I was talking about... however, a way around this would be to simply make a vortex gate of some sort on the square... either that, or give the warpee the option to accept or decline the warp spell.
