Number 7 includes any sports that appear in olympics and are not mentioned here, like swimming, archery ect
Local sports are those played mainly in one place, the 'USA' one includes american football, basketball, baseball ect, while the 'Other' is for sports like hurling, Gaelic/Aussie football, jaialie ect.

It doesn't really make sense to leave football (not soccer), baseball, and basketball all lumped together when about half or more of the players are from the US.
It just doesn't. Especially if you'll give cricket, rugby, motorsports, and combat sports all their own tab...

ya i agree.. basketball to play, football to watch... and besides the fact that mostly american playerbase, basketball is a worldwide sport :/...

It just doesn't. Especially if you'll give cricket, rugby, motorsports, and combat sports all their own tab...
Cricket is the 2nd most watched sport in the world. and the way the Indian Premier League is goin there is a chance it could take 1st place in a few years
Motorsports are very popular, of course theres Formula 1 and World Superbikes, then theres A1, NasCar, Indycars, hell, some people even watch TRUCKS race...
As for the sports you mentioned, in terms of wordwide participation, fishing, yes FISHING, is ahead of yankee football, baseball and basketball! Unfortunalty i didnt have the space to put every sport in, so i grouped the minor sports together.

I play cricket 3 times a week, but I skateboard more than anything else.. Is that a sport?
Snowboarding.. Surfing.. Kickboxing.. I do all those things lol, extreme sports should be a catagory up there.

Wrestling goes down as 'combat sports', and from your description of what you go to hockey and soccer matches to see, that would probably be best put down as 'combat sports' too!
