lol last time i checked mages were 1 man wrecking crews...first off aop gives it 100+ armor+ and other equip it may have, 2nd it does do 70-90's and there are no half damage beam's(ive never seen one), 3rd when they do get into trouble invis gets them outta granted one zerk would own em...but 1 on 1 i'd put a mage against anything cept pally and druid and i think it would win(crystals allowed of course )

I'm assuming you mean a level 30 mage versus any other character at level 20?

i obvously have owned a mage and obviuosly knew how to use it correctly cas if u cant win a duel with it u must suck ass pretty bad

Beam doesn't do 70-90 damage, not unless you're fighting a low-wis crit

AoP gives you no direct armour. It just multiplies your armour by 2.5. Mages don't do 70-90 damage against other players. I think I've done 80 damage to a low-wisdom character...but that's just an exception. Usually, I'll hit people for 55 damage...unless they're resisting, counterspelling or I'm fizzling.

Obviously, you don't own a mage.

aop multiplies armor like squee said, depending on your bank roll, you may have less then expert fighters. ive delt max 65 damage (19 int on human though) to players, mages damage get resisted and partially resisted all the time.

You OBVIOUSLY dont/never have owned a mage

mages r overpowered by zerks
zerks and rangers overpower everybody
fighters suck, a zerk can do more even with normal attack
but neway, if ur not fighting a zerk or someone with like 19 wis a mage is bttr

Well most classes are only good if with clerics cos they increase str/dex, but this isnt really any good to mages so how about clerics get a spell tht adds to intell?
