Can't anymore, you can only steal the ammount of gold that monsters initially have on them- ie. if someone gets killed by a sand viper and had 10k on them you can only steal the initial 700 (i think thats what it is) on the viper.

i thought you could still steal but only get the exp for the base gold, i may be wrong can some one clarify.

But,

When I was training my band of thieves, we were all like lvl 9 to 14, and I could rob someone clean 50% of the time..

Personally, I think the steal gold thing should be enhanced, Like, you get caught much much less easily.

anywho, I thought it was kinda funny. lol

Stealing is somewhat more peaceful than killing, there's no actual harm involved...

I personally don't see why JZ should stop it...

Steals quite good actually, with my gnome thief i can rob the desertt and make a easy 100k in a hours work and rob ppl whatsin it maybe doubleing my gold

While in the 'justice zone' if you try stealing something something gets stolen from you I believe.

I've never stolen in a justice zone so I wouldn't know if theres a chance your own money gets stolen, but I'm certain I've been stolen from while I was standing in one before...

dex and level determine how well you steal, con determines how easyly you get spotted while covert

correct me if i'm wrong, but intelligence is absolutely useless if you're not a mage, correct? maybe there's more idiots lately but i've seen a lot people under the impression that intelligence is the placebo that really does work.

Are you dumb dude ? Im sure you knew that them thieves were below lvl 10 of course they aren't gonna beable to steal gold at that lvl but when they lvl to arch they can steal quite alot.....

Stealing here wasn't talking about against monsters so much to begin with.

Stealing PvP is crap. It doesn't work. It ought to be improved if thieves are actually suppose to be thieves and not assassins.

Last I remember, stealing from pretty near the whole desert fetched around 90k, didn't steal them dry of course, that just doesn't make sense to me. It's been quite a while....reminds me I need to start doing that when I'm bored. :-X
