Yep thats right I say make a diffrent version Dotw for every class. Staff of the Winds, Bow of the Winds, Fangs of the Winds, Blade of the winds. The hole nine.

Why would people go nine yards if a first down is ten? That's so stupid.

Anyway, since thieves best weapon at 25 is the BD for DotW at lvl 25, I think it should hold true for each class, excluding zerks and fighters.

i.e.
Rangers would be 21
Druids would be 20
ect

Zerks and fighters should lowered to 20 like most of the others, 25 BD (halberd/rose blade) would borderline cobalt too much.

One guy told me that the expression comes from the nautical term "yard," meaning one of the horizontal poles that hold up the sails on a square-rigged sailing ship. A typical ship, he claimed, would have three masts with three yards apiece, or nine yards in all. A captain who had sent up all the canvas he could in order to squeeze out max velocity would thus be said to be giving it "the whole nine yards."

Decent suggestion, only DotW is BD 20, not 25. (although im not sure that's what you ment cause i can't make out the sentence).

I say no leave it as it is and that it is not really necessary. It was made for thieves and all the other classes have more than enough weapons/spells available for them.

I know I will be flamed but who cares, I don't think it's needed.

Spam ftw. This should be added do to this melee class can go places far from town without a healer and have no problem. Places some would dare to venture with pots mana because they might not have enough to get back once they get there! If this was added more areas would be used etc.

If people actually worked together like the server was made for more areas would be used too, but do you see that happening or going to happen? Nope.

Um...so every class should get invisibilty and aid so they can run around without worries, and heal when they need to?

But why should you have to head out without a cleric that wasn't what this was intended for was it? It was intended for people to cooperate and work together. It shouldn't be changed and every class given a vamp weapon just because you can't always get someone to want to cleric for you. The vamp weapon was always there for thievs and thieves only besides cobalt. It is unecessary for there to be one for every class.

You really dont get the point do you.. You just keep saying "its always been there why change it now." Since 1a open'd what has staff done? CHANGE STUFF. They do this to "Balance" the game. Right now the game is unbalanced in the term of training solo. Thieves can take there 20bd .2vamp weapon and go somewhere way far away and train forever. (Im not even countint covert just the weapon they get.) Everyother class cant travle as far thus easier to find and be pk'd, because they have to come back for pots.

And don't say "what do you care all you care about is mages" because there are quite a few people in my clan who are training thieves or other alts. Why would I want to make the suffer? I know a lvl 26 thief you can ask her what she thinks about thieves getting a 20bd .2vamp weapon compared to the other classes. And as alex stated all classes shouldn't be 20bd they should be changed but you get the point.

Okay now lets look at the disadvantages a thief has... They lose stam when running around covert, they can not hit an run while using their ability, they are not really that powerful until level 20 when they get a katana, aren't that easy to solo train until level 25 when they can actually use this dagger yet alone they have to pay 350k for it...

Yeah I think with all the trouble they go through they should have something like this to be able to train SOLO hence the name for the server.

Anyways people need to work together is what the server is for and granted not everyone can always find people to work with, but i'd say thieves have it the worst off to be solo by themselves with no help. So yes thieves do deserve DoTW.

One i have heard of is that the ammo belt on each of the Spitfire's/Hurricane's 8 machine guns was 9 yards long, so to give an enemy bomber the 'whole 9 yards' was to pump every bullet onboard into it

1.) I would like to ask where all of this interst in the DotW was before.
2.) Why did you not call for a .20 vamp weapon for all classes months ago?
3.)Why does it all come about now?
4.)Why is it only certain people from a certain group are arguing about the DotW?
5.) Speaking of working together, why don't we all get together and get some Gaunts of Virtue, or Gloves of Vigore?

Well you cant expect people to recognize unbalanced portions of the game until people exploit it. Im not saying the DotW alone is unbalanced, but clearly some other classes are lacking the ability to solo train as much as a thief. Not druids or mages or clerics. Rangers are clearly lacking this as are fighters and zerks.

I would say zerks have the main disadvantage.
Most other classes are not too poorly off; though getting a ranger up is pretty friggin annoying solo. Hypnotise is good help though.

However, a vampiric weapon of decent base is not the answer for all classes, and I would be against it especially for berserkers.
They are quite powerful, and players have found ways to train them up...I'd rather not see the 1-alt server over-run with mini-cobalt wielding berserkers.
