im new to this game...i was wondering ..is or does charisma have anything to do with a thief or his abilities (do thieves need char)?

For most classes, Charisma dictates how effective heal spells are when cast upon you (usually by a Cleric); otherwise, you can get away with having poor Charisma, especially if you largely use healing potions.

Charisma carries more strength for Clerics, Paladins and Rangers, and is more or less essential for Pacifists (multi-server only).
