You have to reinstall it. Completely remove all nightmist stuff and even search nightmst and delete that to then reinstall and it should work. I had this problem a few years back.

I had the same problem a yr ago, registy access blah blah..
All i did was go to start, search nightmist right clicked and ran as administator and it worked.
Others stated this already so dont know how much help this is but hopefully u just didnt do it correctly.
