This is in no way an advertisement. It's just a survey to see how many people are interested. I am developing a new product which will allow users to create small 2D Online RPG Games.

If you are extremelly interested, PM me. I will not post links here.

seriously.

As in, you're better off going to your local computer geek bookstore, buying "How to program in [language of your choice] in 10 ez lessons", reading it through, and writing one from scratch.

seriously.

Quick update:

I have begun to develop the new interface :)
Everything will be skinnable, and I'll probably develop a small app to help position controls on each window.

I've been getting that alot. One of the "fans" of M:RPGe 2 did a recolour of the skin as blue, and it looked nice. The engine will be entirely skinnable, with the help of our new visual skinning program =D

Anyway, I have an in-game screenshot, it's still a work in progress so bear with me :)

Well for 1, this is a game creation utility, and I've never done one of these before, so I think that pretty much makes your statement false.
Secondly, if you can find an image that proves your theory correct, I'll happily apologise and agree with you.

Now available! There's a few things that need finishing, like a help documentation and some of the menu features need to be added. But apart from that all the development tools are working and you can start making your very own online adventure games, for free!

Can do that if you like, my gaming software is focused towards those who don't wish to learn programming. Considering what I knew in highschool Graham, compared to what I know now, some people would be quite impressed.
We didn't ALL get shipped off to posh school when we were 15 though did we mate.

If anybody has a response which is little better than a 6 month old child, let me know

When I said it made me laugh it was through joy, It made me remember how funny you were at school and seeing alans post relate was particullaly pleasing.

So back on topic, Why don't you just make the game you were on about back in high school, rather than giving out software to do so. If you can teach how, why don't you just put the time in to make a better one which users will play? - I for one would give it a go, If you've put the effort in.

FTR do you still play this game?

PS do you have a desktop mic stand for sale by any chance?

Hope all is well and a happy new year to you.

Aye, Porkie was our little fellow mosher back in high school until he left us for smart kid school  He ressembled that of a guinee pig, thus the name porkie.
No desk mic for sale unfortunatly.

Ahh, I've always had ideas for games and stuff, but I remember what it was like for me trying to make a game when I didn't know any programming languages. Making a game is extremelly hard, and you need the right people alongside you to help you develop it. I ran a game called Deloria Online for a while before the project went back over to somebody else. Used to always have about 30-60 people online.

Making a game is very time consuming and I have other projects going on at the moment like customising motorbikes, building choppers and custom cruisers. So I decided to build something that would help people who are in the same situation as I was, wanted to make a game but couldn't find a good enough tool to make one with.

Nightmist has changed so much over the years, and every time I come back to it something else has changed which I disagree with. I came back today only to find out that PKing has been removed from Multi.

If I was to create a game, it would be a replica of Nightmist back in 2001. Good times, good people, great community, where people actualy played the game.

I'm working on some Text-Based software. If you goto http://www.chronicalgames.com you'll find QuestRealms. Not sure if this is what you're after, but it's an offline text-based game, where you can make your own quests in the software itself and send them to other people so they can play your quests.

I'm working on something very similar to Nightmist, but in an offline environment. However, this won't be ready for a while. Here are some screenshots of the project so far, very basic right now as you can tell but will eventually function the same, and have a really nice interface with location images and mini-map. The idea will be to create interactive fiction games, with big quests and puzzles. Being an offline text game you'll need to have more than just killing monsters like in Nightmist.

Anyway, here's some screenies so far:

There's still a lot of things to figure out, design, and test the best methods to use, but I'm pretty sure I can get the ball rolling with something pretty nice soon enough.
