There are quite some low-level areas to train and even money make but any valuable drops seems to suffer horribly. Following ideas are aiming at giving low-level players some more equipment to boost about without being unbalancing.

1. Elshira.

Increase spider staff drop rate to 33%. Add Runed Cloak as alternative drop with 10% drop rate. Restrict Elshira’s square to level 1-25 alts.

Library info for Runed Cloak:
Armor base: 30, Can be worn by: clerics, Description: That comfortable cloak was crafted from a fine spidersilk and painstakingly covered in protection runes. Magic’s side effect seems to prevent anyone but members of clergy from wearing it properly, Level needed to equip it: 15, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.

Oak Vest – ac 25, lvl 15, cost 500gp
Ironweed Doublet – ac 32, lvl 20, cost 6000gp

The spider queen is perfect mini-boss for any small party, unfortunally balancing her toward low-levels means that she could be killed almost instantly with archmaster crits. Take her away from bored veteran players and give novice players a better loot.

2. Giant crocodile.

Increase crocodile skin boots drop rate to 85%. Add crocodile tooth necklace as alternative drop with 15% drop rate.

Library info for Crocodile Tooth Necklace:
Armor base: 1, Can be worn by: clerics, druids, fighters, mages, paladins, rangers, thieves, pacifists, Description: A popular tavern story says that among native tribes there is a ritual that at the coming of age, a boy must hunt down an crocodile and craft a necklace with it’s teeth to prove himself worthy. This crude item gives some substance to the story, Level needed to equip it: 1, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.
Similar items:
Cooper Amulet – ac 1, lvl 1, cost 500gp
Bunny Foot Necklace - ac 1, lvl 1, 1% bunny drop

Anyone killed giant crocodile when he was noob but was it really worth it? A tiny bit improvement to the old friend.

3. Rel’thon’s Chest

Increase spawn rate to 6 hours. Decrease scarlet dagger drop rate to 85%. Add Enchanted Bracers as alternative drop with 15% drop rate.

Library info for Enchanted Bracers:
Armor base: 2, Can be worn by: thieves, Description: A finely crafted leather forearm protection. It was enchanted by an rogue mage to turn blades away from it’s wearer, Level needed to equip it: 1, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.
Similar items:
Steel Bracers – ac 2, lvl 5, cost 500gp.

Scarlet dagger guild could be done with fairly small party, ideal for a new player, unfortunally the main drop is often missing because like elshira, veteran players go there when they have nothing better to do. Will this idea add more scarlet daggers into game? Yes. Will it unbalance anything? No. Will new drop and faster spawn make sdg more fun for novice players? I think so.

4. Sylva.

Increase fancy short sword drop rate from 2% to 5%.

Similar logical argument as with Rel’thol chest. A few but most dedicated players had ever seen this drop and most likely they already had much better weapons to use by time they got it.

Does not play well with others.

Why would Elshira have to be made for only mid-level characters? She isn't exactly hunted as it is...and I don't think we'll see a bunch of people trying to horde her too much.

The alternative drops and such seem good, but I do not want to see Fancy Short Sword drop increased---it could be good for crafting at some point as it is...and the actual weapon is not good at any point for any class. Golden Dagger is better for thieves, Leather Bound Bow for rangers, and a few things for fighters...
Wisdom is the principle thing. Therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.
