Alright, so I need help with the "Runtime Error 429" on a 2d game engine. Someone suggested I download and register dx7vb.dll, but I did that and it didn't help at all.

enable activex in your internet explorer security settings. (it's basicly an active x error)

How to Configure Active-X in Internet Explorer
Open the <Tools> menu
Click <Internet Options>
Click the <Security> tab
The Internet zone will be selected by default

Click <Custom Level> and select each security setting individually
Click <OK>

if that doesn't fix it:

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\Comdlg32.ocx

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSINET.OCX

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSCOMCTL.OCX

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSWINSCK.OCX

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\msxml.dll

'Start' -> 'Run' > regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\scrrun.dll

edit: some of the files might be software specific so you might not have them on your system :ph34r:
