Is it possible to run Nightmist off a memory stick? Without actually installing it.

I suppose you could, theoretically, but it still requires some form of installation, namely copying the EXE file to the memory stick and registering the required DLLs (which requires registry access). It would be impressive if it can be pulled off though.

Unfortunately yes; registering ActiveX controls and the like requires administrator rights, and you probably won't have such rights on a school, library, or cyber café computer, where Nightmist-on-a-stick would benefit the most.

lol, hooray for working with Tech Support and Services over the summer.
<3 being given administrative passwords on the college system...

Though, I think it only applied to Ag. Hall's 3 computer labs and the computers connected to that network...

it may work, if the computer already has the required files on it (if any other vb based programs are on it)

A lot of computers in a school like environment are likely to have something VB based (or maybe even VB itself) installed so there is a reasonable chance of it working.

Inability to make applications run without installing is one of the reasons I hate VB.
