I have just downloaded and installed Nightmist but did not recieve a short cut on the desktop so went through the Start Menu and opened the program file to start the game. Once I clicked on the .exe file to open the game, I recieved this error message:

Nightmist can't access the registry
Registry access is required the first time you use Nightmist and to store character
information, please use a computer account with registry access.

I have tried the stand alone .exe download that is listed and have allowed Nightmist through my firewall as well and still recieve this error message everytime I try to get into the game. I downloaded the game onto my girlfriend's computer as well and the same error message appeared as with mine. Would like any advice on how to bypass this by Nightmist Staff or any of the players that may have ran into this problem and managed to get past it to play the game.

*Checked through the FAQ and did not see any info in regards to this type of registry error.

Run as admin?

Thank you for the advice on that issue. For some reason I had it set to run as admin, but it was looping the auto run and failing the registry but when manually ran as admin the .exe file processed through. Again thank you for the advice and the timely response to the issue.
