idk if its juss me but wtf is this
ill be sitting their training pking w/e
and itll jump screens like a madman
4-5 at a time
ive got a great connection, comp the works and it still does idk what to do its irriating

My computer and connection is good, but for some queer reason my screens keep jumping out of control whenever I pk someone or when someone attempts to pk me. Any clue wtf this happening? Cuz it's bs

its been happening to me also but only when i log on my cleric + rangers or whatever in a big party, when i run my usual 7 crits it doesn't.

It even happens to me on 7 crits.

its been happening to me since i got a new pc.. my old scrappy one didnt do it - i can only assume its somthing to do with updating windows xp with the new patch or what ever as thats when the problems started for me. And the only way to stop it is to scroll all alts - i have everything scrolled now but my leading druid

I always scroll my crits and this happens to me even with 7 scrolled crits.

This happens to me while I am coming out of covert assassinating someone with thieves, or sometimes, when I am done pking and some of my thieves are still covert, and I try to use them to pick mana crystals etc. up off the ground.

I dont know what it is, but it seems to happen every time another crit pops up out of nowhere. It only really happens to me when I have thieves on, not when I am using zerkers.

it happens to me sometimes when i'm running and it'll switch to some random crit and i'll be running around with that instead of my leader without even realizing it sometimes

I've seen this happen with some PCs and not with others. It seems to be related to redrawing graphics and is related to the way that Windows interacts with certain graphics cards. If you've got lots of stuff causing screen redraws (scrolling text or creatures/characters appearing), this problem will get worse.

Unfortunately, I doubt there is anything that can really be done to the NM client to stop this.

Old topic, I know. Sorry..

But could this problem be linked in anyway to the code that's written in the roller, where it refreshes and brings that window to the front, when it's completed its process ?

Never happens to me unless I'm on 15+ alts and someone comes into the room with 10 or more and pk's me and I white screen

Unfortunately, I doubt there is anything that can really be done to the NM client to stop this.

well there are a couple of things i can think of that would improve it, one would be only drawing visible areas, another would be moving to directdraw but both of theese would likely require quite radical changes.
