Well, the much awaited Capture The Flag event returned to Multi!

These were the teams:

Akane Crane Flaw Gangstarr Heritage Legion Protest Tactic Vicarious Wind (Blue Team)

Air Arachnid Dynamics Godzilla Hikaru Nighthawk Rot Squirtle Steroid Tigress (Red Team)

After much fighting, Red Team got the first flagpole kill which dropped the Blue Flag, but somehow Crane managed to grab it to keep Red Team from winning. After a few more runs, the Red Flagpole fell which Crane grabbed and managed to return to his chairman!

Well Done Blue Team!

What can I say? That was the most intense event I have joined in a long time. Right from the start, we were on the losing side because the Red Team had two clerics that kept healing the gates, and my own healing doesn't really compare. Indeed, Godzilla destroyed the Blue Flagpole, but then I killed Godzilla while his stamina was recharging, and then covertly passed the flag to Heritage so he could hide and I could send the Red Team on a wild goose chase - eventually they killed me, most likely due to Righteous Fury, but found I didn't have the flag... that was when Heritage gave it back to me and I proceeded to hit and run the Portcullis and the Red Flagpole with Crane and Akane. Akane destroyed the flagpole and got the flag, then I rushed to give both to the Blue Chairman.

Wow... that's all I can say... wow! My hands were shaking at the end of it!

A big thank you to Derlok for running it and thank you Heritage for your call to destroy our own flag base (Godzilla of the Red Team got the kill though, and I think the Red Team didn't realise we were hitting our own flagpole, especially since they were coming in only one crit at a time) so we could hide the flag... a very risky gamble that paid off! Thank you again Derlok, and thank you Blue Team.

Like Vision? That's where Akane comes into play... while she was often killed a lot, she could round most crits, hence why I often charged in and killed one while I could.

Congrats to the blue team, it was a fun event. I think to make it more interesting though something should be done about this camouflage covert or invis flag holding such as not letting those abilities be used in the event. It takes the fun out of it and is to much a struggle trying to vision and get shots in while the hiding person takes off with macros as soon as they are brought out.

Edit: It was Dynamics that got the blue flag but had no stamina to run and got killed not Godzilla.

Yeah, it was used forever then when they got rid of the game for fixing I figured that it would be one of the problems taken care of especially taking into consideration the higher levels and hp which makes it much harder to get a click. No way you can vision and get 2-3 clicks off to kill someone when they are that high of a level.

This is an event that should promote communication/cooperation and therefore i think camouflage/vert/invis should be allowed. To further explain, " 'im going to vision, tap ____"... or there is always the options for nightshades... 7.5k on main is nothing... /t tony .. cry more, the event is obviously funner when you have options and it isnt just who has the higher lvl ect... keep it about strategy, kthx

I do not see any validity to taking out any type of invisibility. As said above the whole point of capture the flag is team work, communication, and strategy. Clearly the blue team pushed in all thier chips and just happened to come out on top.

Thanks for brining CTF back. Grats to the winners. And those who lost and took it in stride.

On a final note, 1-alters. If you wish to complain and get events taken away on 1-alt i do not care. However do not come to main and destroy our fun aswell. We (The main player base) enjoy all events run by Gaz no matter the out come. It's very appriciated no matter what the event or stipulations of that event may be.

Please keep the 1-Alt trash talk and insult mentality away from the Main server.

Great job on the event Gaz!
People clearly enjoyed it a great deal.

I could've swore the last time Trev ran CTF camo/vis/vert weren't allowed?

Disappointed I couldn't be on to attend. Glad it went well tho. Grats to the victors.

Gaz, any word on a potential next CTF?

Clay - Camo/invis/covert wernt allowed because i completely abused it on Concubine & Gouki. When i was on Gouki, the other team didnt actually have a cleric for vis. so we won.

And on concubine i had them running round vising every square for about half an hour, and everyone complained. Basically this event needs to be no invis/camo/covert. All those classes have benifits other than going invis, that are handy. Well i dunno, cus i havnt played ctf since gaz brought it back. But ill come on a thief/druid and see what its like ;P. Just posting on previous knowledge from the old CTF. I did like the addition of the monsters casting vis cus of Gouki though lol.
