On the old forum, when the individual class development was put in, the first post was Jan 25th 2003. That is over a year ago, and the only thing we've seen to help mages is 'dispell', which is yet another spell hidden on my spell list.

The fact that makes it even worse is that half of the old forum topics have been removed, so it's impossible to search back further. Which I'm sure would be evident.

To be honest, I don't see why we post any ideas. We are very rarely given any feedback from the staff members. We all know that they generally do what they want and never actually listen to the most important aspect of the game: the player base.

Then to make matters worse we have the intoduction in Pacifists, which are just an annoyance. So instead of improving the classes we already have, they get neglected and pointless ones are introduced.

This is not only about mages, but also almost every other class that need more additions and development. There have been numerous great ideas, but they are never given a chance and tested and display their worth.

This leaves me with one outstanding question. "Why do we bother?"

I completely and totally agree with you. I have posted numerous time, leaving my opinions after reading some of the good ideas out there and if you read some of my posts you'll find that I have given up hope as well.

yeah, it's like that with all classes... someone suggests something thats a good idea and the staff just ignore it. Great way to improve the game *thumbs up*

Unless a staff member comes out and says "We are ignoring this," you can't know for sure that it's being ignored. Perhaps it's just at the bottom of a to-do list somewhere.

I suppose now I get flamed for my optimistic attitude? ^^;;

I do so hope that your theory is correct, however lets test it shall we. PANDILEX, IF YOU ARE READING THESE AND ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THE THINGS WE POST FOR YOU TO READ THEN REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW, IN ANY WAY LET US KNOW THAT YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ABOMINATION. Let us hope that he reads this.

The seed of the people who ask to be staff should be wiped from the earth...

It's not so bad for people to ask, or to say they're trying to their friends. But not on an open forum. They just look stupid.

1. The staff are not your lapdogs. They do not have to post a response if they choose not to. This does not mean that they arent watching it. They do not have to come when you call, and probably wont over something as stupid as this.
2. (in response to the very first post) the only way to make mages non-crappy, is by posting suggestions of ways to make them better.

What the what?

Wow, now why didn't I think of that.

If you also read the first post I stated that the earliest traceable post to improve mages was in Jan 2003, and lots of forum posts were deleted, implying that we have been posting about mages not being up to scratch for well over a year.

If you read the first post I explain that nothing seems to happen even with the mass of suggestions posted on the forum.

If you read the first post I said that staff rarely post a comment about the ideas, maybe offering advice, granted they are apparently busy making areas, but then how do they find the time to post on off topic, forsale, discussion and lock topics. Yet never post their thoughts on class balancing.

Then why dont you contact the staff directly? You know... in game, or email them. Or even a personal Message on here.

Dont complain. Take action.

What the what?
