Ok i have an idea for a quest and boss drop

the area for the quest would be in the desert maze.

After fighting your way through Sand Vipers and Cobras you have to search your way through an area with no direction descripts(similar to island of chronos)

once through and you find the boss(Giant Cobra) defeat him to get his dagger...

Library info for Posion Tipped Dagger:

Base damage: 5, Can be used by: thieves , Description: The dagger looks too small for you to use but at further examination you notice the blade glows green with what seems to be a magical aura. Level needed to equip it: 30, Magical: No, Vamparic: No, Armor: 0, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Poison chance: 1, Poison/30s damage: 250, Monster damage table: , Mana leech: .

This quest would be similar to the Evil Santa quest mike did during christmas time

The Giant Cobra would have 100k hp and an area for him to spawn randomly on 1 of 6 squares... I know many of you agree with me when i say killing boxes south of nightmist gets boring.

This idea is still a very rough draft if brought into the game i would obviously design a map for this new area and monsters and work on the descriptions a bit.

So please dont flame it if you have any ideas let me know so i can make this better and maybe add a bit of fun to nightmist again :)

Idea doesn't appeal too much to me, but it doesn't repulse me either, but I'd suggest adding onto Jahanna area, rather than the Chronos desert, Chronos at the moment doesn't require further expansion, at least, not in this fashion at this point in time anyway.

Idea seems a bit rediculus to me, well, the boss drop that is. If what i am reading is correct then that says 250 poison damage.

I think people suggesting quests should look less for a 1 class item, or if they make it one class, not try to make the quest simply to get stuff that will make their main better or overpowered in duels.

Heh, I'm not sure how poison works, so I overlooked it, but yah, 250 poison dmg is spastic.

i tried to tell you in clan chat, if you making a quest item, you might wanna make it for more then 1 class, yes you can choose for it to be 1, and it has been done before, but still. Also, 250 poison damage is incredibly high, specially with an absolute chance of poisoning. If it is a 100% chance of poisoning, you may wanna look at making it 20/30 poison damage, and if you ment 10% chance, it should br braught down to at highest, 50 damage. Also, you might wanna write a story for the quest, to explain why this monster appeared out of nowhere. To me, it doesn't make sense to make a quest just to put into play a new 1 time drop item, it should have a story behind it.

I just want to point out that the point of this post was for you all to add your ideas and improve upon it to make it work... like i said this is a very rough draft and needs alot of work but..

(To Deval) I meant the area should have the same type of area descriptions as chronos or hedge maze... so you cant see where your going.

(To Gaddy) 250 poison damage i agree now after further thought is a bit high but with 5 base damage this weapon would rely on poison. Also my main is a cleric so it wouldnt help at all lol
(To Ice) If added this wont be a 1 time drop... like i said it will be similar to the quest stotic ran at christmas so it would have a 1% drop rate and probobly stay there for a week.


I'll give it some more thought and see how i can make it work.

Island of Chronos meets the Desert Maze. Interesting mixture of ideas :) Would this area be trapped such as the desert maze?

All in all it's not a bad idea, the psn damage does need to be lowered though, but as you said. It's a rough draft. Best of luck with the developing of it :blink:

250 poison damage maybe a bit extreme for mages who only have 250hp. So maybe the poison could be 200, and a 50% chance to poison.

However, a high poison damage is fine for a 5 base damage wepon, since a dagger of spirits or an emerald dagger can assassinate to close enough 500hp. Obviously you would only remain poisoned for a short period of time. Maybe enough for 2 poisons to take effect.

i dont beleive the current system is set up to allow you to choose how many rounds someone is poisoned

I like the idea and on poison, get yourself a cleric and your all good (pally or druid in a pinch) I mean it does 10 damage and 250 poison not bad for a lvl 30 assassinate eh.
