same here. would be cool to get the stuff and play it with a few friends. maybe take it into college and do it during the breaksI want to.. But none of my friends do. And I don't think I can play it alone/don't want to play it alone.

I'm enough of a recluse as it is.
Whilst not D&D, that's the same for me with Palladium and Whtie Wolf books. I own loads of RPG books, Rifts, Heroes Unlimited, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness, Shadowrun, Warhammer, Soothsayer and Vampire: The Masquerade... I won't include the source books...
Problem being, is there is hardly anyone that I can find who digs this stuff, and I'm reluctant to reveal my geek self to those I spend my social time with.
One time I got lucky, and I had Odin and a few mates play a mad Rifts campaign I made once, and it was an absolute blaaast, but like I said, it's rare to get a chance to find people who can or are willing to play.

if we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace,
empty rooms, shuttered and dank,
without passion we'd be truly dead.
