Yea i hate it when im moshing or dueling 3 on 3 and im clicking 3 macros on and off very fast (trying to heal) and i get booted for "holding macros" when im not holding the macros im just clicking them fast, i dont belive i should be punished for pressing macros to fast(im not holding them like it says when i get kicked). could this be changed because its not fair and in no way does clicking macros fast have nething todo with cheating while training

p.s. for all i know this could be a bug, but ive said stuff to staff and they just pretend like they dont hear me.

I think it's measured over a period of time, with no result of you pressing them..

Just start pressing them a second before it all starts, rather than for the whole count down.

it's not being fast it's just the speed of the macro. you can hold down only one macro and be disconnected in a matter of seconds if you un/lucky enough. i think it has to do with protection against other not-to-be-used macros that players make themselves. oddly enough, i've never heard of those kind of macros getting you kicked, but the games own macros consistantly disconnect you.

Yea its a bug, thats why it gives you a detailed messagebox, there's thin line between clicking fast and holding it down....

But you get kicked after 30/60 sec of constantly holding it, last time i checked you only could get a max stam of 6, whats the point of clicking it so much till it kicks you? you can click all you want, it wont give you more stam.

well surviving the first wave of an assault would be one reason angelus. it never happened often but i've had to hold down macros for good periods of time because different battle situations, because in a large group it only takes a second to die or kill your target. you also only get a second to hit your target or survive sometimes. so, that's kind of the point.

It's to stop auto-training.

ie going to atrium with a DotW with an assassinate macro and putting a book on the key and going to school.

Ingenius! Wedging a coin between the keys would work better tho, I do that when trading in Mu.

Ok did you miss it, Or are you just stupid?

Angelus was being sarcastic, while newb and deval acctually SAID it was setup to stop autotraining.

Therefore, no it wont be fixed, because it was coded to do that. Therefore, dont hold down macros for any length of time.

the game kicks you if you click more than about 600 times per minute, clicking this fast (10 a second) is impossible and can only be done by holding down macros.

i got booted not holding macros, this was because i was pressing 3 macros at once very fast (like element here), altho i wasnt holding any of em. maybe you could just turn up the rate to 800 times a minute or more? i doubt this would stop people from getting dced for holding macros, and it might stop people who are pressing multiple macros from getting dced :)

o and btw i think he means pressing macros by 'clicking', in case anyone was confused /wink angelus

Angelus, you've missed the point rather comically :)

What happens is this:

You are in a mosh. You know the other party has you on macro. Therefore, when your two parties meet, you're gonna have about 6 rounds of rapid fire and a couple of assassinates to survive. As you can doubtless imagine, surviving this requires the drinking of many potions in a short space of time. Also, you only have four potions left due to their first wave of attacks.

Fortunately for you, you're in a resonably strong party, so it's fair to assume that they are gonna be able to kill one or two people from the other party, and that those people might drop a few potions.

So, as well as hitting /use advanced healing potion, you need to hit /get 14 advanced healing potion as well. In addition to this, you need to hit /cast make dead/Quark because you want to get the glory.

Now, none of this actually uses stamina unless the other party is on your square. There's a 1 in 25 chance that they will be, so 96% of the time you are just hitting macros as fast as you possibly can - and the point that is being made is that you need to do this.

Now, have i made that clear enough? :)

I'd think it'd be easier to set up a program that booted if macros were held down for like, 5 mins straight rather than hit a certain # of times per min. Auto-training would take a long time because your stam gaining doesn't increase, therefore to actually gain exp you'd have to let it sit there held down a long time, if you had to come back every 5 mins then it's basically not actually auto-training, you've still gotta be next to your comp. If anyone would really do this they'd might as well just hit their macros every 10 secs while watching TV from their computer seat.
Wisdom is the principle thing. Therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.

JLH: You can press it 10 times a second *wink* it's just that most people can not. I play too much DWI hahaha

I think the world record of keystrokes/second is around 26. But I am thinking the average Nighmist player could average 4-5

I was talking about hitting one key repeatedly with one finger. It's a lot harder than it seems.
