As you may or may not care, Hurricane Frances is comming to south Florida, and I'm right in the middle of the course. Electicity will be out for awhile, so I will be gone for 3+ days. Not completly sure.

It has to suck living by the ocean(s). I've never been to one and don't exactly want to.. just because of evil hurricanes. I couldn't even imagine what one would be like. We Ohioians usually end up getting the aftermath of it. We did with the recent one. I was told that some stores ran out of supplies and junk.. with people worried about what may happen to their homes/families. I just hope they're able to survive it.

Good luck.

5th form geography tells me from memory hurricanes can only happen 5-15 degree's north and south of the equator, north or south of there can cop the aftermath but nothing to serious.

So i'm happy living next to the ocean, been all the way down here :P.

I LIVE IN THE OUTER BANKS, NC Nags Head..., I work at Tale Of The Whale and Kitty Hawk Kites on the weekin ( Was a summer time job, just ended it.)...

I love the water and would never leave. All Hurricanes should fear me, no Hurricane can break my house because I have the biggest, thickest, strongest, hardest pieces of wood and it last long too.

i live in england, i've never even seen a hurricane.

I was the only person in the whole of Brighton to sleep through the Great Storm of October 1987 (of course, I was only a year old) - it was not technically a hurricane, but consisted of hurricane-force winds which demolished our conservatory.

We also got hit by the tail of Hurricane Lily in 1995. Global Warming is making British Weather even more freakish than ever before - we're even getting tornados now!

In South Africa you dont get Tornados, Hurricanes or any form of Natural Disasters for that matter. We are quite safe :P

It sucks, I thought it would be cool and exciting, but now it's a catagory 3, winds are sucky...(I live only 20 miles away from Jen o.o). Nah, I didn't evacuate, I love storms of any kind. And I think there is another hurricane starting, wtf is going on... (maybe Simon built a weather machine so he could be all closer to world domination).

It's not cat 3, it's cat 2..and you're in pembroke pines which is far west of north miami which means you aren't getting that bad of winds. I live in Zone B and still have power :P
