Ok, I usually train in the desert, but I had a few of my crits in dendeya the other day.

I needed some of them back at arilin, I took em back.

I left my level 22 thief (that I had bought 2 days previously)

Well, the HL was there, I've never seen the hl.

I'm like... well... so what if someone else gets the bracelet, they probably wont anyway.

So, I go to the hl, and steal all the gold from him...

The first three steals were over 1k each... I easily stole 6k and put it i nthe back, once I raised another 1000 gold I got pked.

Still, I had come when the HL was slightly, and before he was halfway through mod (there were like.... a bunch of experts and archies with bot's and hallies) he had no gold, and I had stolen 7k..

Who says steal gold is worthless???

its called selling sumthing u dont need or use, u can get money very quickly that way

i'd like to see the time when 7k was money to be made. a long time ago you could sell nightshade elixirs for 7-10k rather speedily. i'd be on my way to rel-thon and pick one up, say to myself "huzzah, it's money to me", and go on my way. back then, 7-10 could have been 10% of my total savings, it would have been money to lay on the line for training, but now it's not even potions for my party. if i want to leave town, i drop more than that.

I can earn 7k in 2 minutes easily. Its called knowing where to train. lol

You can't make 7k in 2 minutes by killing monsters. Unless you can kill marauders or whatever like they are giant rats.

if you rushed it you could easily make 7k in two mins in a certain area, but ud probably die trying
As for the 'shades, its nowhere near 100% drop rate, more like 20, so you coudnt just 'pick one up on the way then get another on way back' or whatever you were implying

if you know where to steal or who to steal from you can also make 7k in two minutes. nowadays it's not real common though. two minutes is sort of cheating when you don't consider how much time you spent profiling a person's training habits, and how long it took to find someone who doesn't keep a purse crit. some good hauls have been had. but that's real thievery, which is highly uncommon and discouraged by the game's mechanics.

Stealing gold was alot better back in the day when you got good experience for it. Now there are a ton of easier ways to do it. Killing monsters in the right places is much more effective, and you dont worry about sneaking around. So what if you can rip a boss off, thats simple. the point is 7k is petty change now-a-days.
