i have a lvl 30 alt named bengie i want to change his name to suey my alt tongin has the gold on it

Or you could just keep it simple:

/name Malavon/Malavon pwns you

takes the gold off Malavon.

Malavon's is the simpliest and probably the easiest to follow. Regardless, I don't see why we need this if we can use the site - it's not like it's a terribly long process.

It's longer than it could take though, and it would be much easier doing it in game.

iut doesnt take a second to click /web name swap or name change..

unless theres the rare ocassion that the web site goes down.. olike it has before..

soo i guess this could be useful in game but would be pointless to say the least

I say it is not needed, because renaming crits is not something that should be done on an everyday basis. And there is probably a good technical reason as to why the crit has to be offline during the renaming process.

I don't approve. As Crane said, I don't think changing big crits names should be done often so people can keep track of them. Yes its lazy... the official website has these functions for a reason.

i hate you all! give me 1 good idea, i put it on the forums, everyone hates it! why cant you agree with me! the internet version of name change is good but you have to go back to lvl 1! thats rubbish! you have a lvl 30 crit, you want the name changed, ive changed my name but oh no, im lvl 1 again, i have to play for another year to get to lvl 30! then youll proberly want another name change, it all sucks to me!

uh, name changes do not reset your character
