Ok, I'm allergic to pears. . .I love them, but after 3 bites or so, my stomach starts to feel less than good.

I post this today because there was a pear on the table and I grabbed it before my boyfriend could stop me I had taken 3 bites. (my mouth waters just thinking about it). Then he stole it away from me and wouldn't give it back. . . as I tried to get it back, I felt icky and decided that I shouldn't eat it anymore.

On that note, I was wondering what other kind of strange allergies other people have.

My allergies aren't strange.

I'm allergic to pollen, cats, dogs... most of all people.

my ex was really allergic to Lemons . . . if we went on a night out and they put a lemon in her drink and it touched her lips without her realising she instantly looked like someone had punched her in the mouth

I'm pretty allergic to dust . . . when Im somewhere dusty I end up with the symptoms of heyfever . . . get the same thing with pet hair

im allergic to demeral and finagin which ironically are mixed together into one medicine that i need for vertigo

the only food allergy I have is to seafood, and to an lesser extent fish....I'm also allergic to the usual things like cats, pollen, and dust....however a lot of my allergies are getting less and less severe...

grass, cats, dogs, dust, smoke, bunnies, hmm what you call them red thingies'hmm paprika (that's a weird one but i hate the taste so i can use that not to eat them) also not really an allergy but i have some type of diabetis.

Havnt taken the time to figure out what it is exactly but during spring i have allergies kick in pretty bad, also Pennicilin(sp)

I had vertigo for a couple days, once, when i was real sick.... that stuff is horrible.

and i've had so many antibiotics as a kid they kinda screwed up my intestants so now i can't stand many antibiotics :S Not a real allergy tho but annoying

i'm allergic to certain types of melon. this includes honeydew, cantelope, and my beloved watermelon. nothing terrible happens, just after a while the inside of my throat gets itchy and swells a little.

i still try and "outsmart" my allergies by eating a couple bites, waiting like 5-10 minutes, or eating in small portions generally. i dunno if it works, because aftre a while i just say moose it and eat the melon anyways. take that allergies.

oh yeah, and the weird thing is this started to show up right around 13/14 years old, right around puberty. i gained heair in weird places but was stripped of my melons.

Well, I've been allergic to pears all my life, I think. When I was little, I would always stand at the bottom of the tree while my Great Grandad picked pears and wait until he dropped one then I'd run off and eat it in the potato field. . . and then I'd get sick. It took me years to figure out and when I finally did, I just stopped eating them untill last October, when I thought that I must be imagining things. . .No one could be allergic to pears. and so I bought one.

"outsmart" your allergies. . . that's a good way to put it though.

you guys ever did them tests where they stab you like 200 times in your arms and back with all types of different substances to figure out what ya'll are allergic to?

btw i forgot i'm allergic to cinamen (sp?) too?

There’s nothing more annoying than sneezing and eyes running and nose and eyes itching like mad for weeks on end. (Usually in exam season too).

I have hay-fever bad and general rhynitus. (sp lol)
Dust, chalk dust, animals and worst of all deodorant sprays.

Does that mean you smell bad cause you cant use deodorant?

Nope, I use anti-persperant. Just not the spray ones as it's the aerosol I'm allergic to.

i once watched this document on tv about parasite worms that live inside humans and there was this doctor who had hey-fever or something and planted these worm eggs inside him, once they grew and stuff he wasnt allergic anymore.

I don't want worms o.O a lot of my allergies sort of went away or traded off with something else
