I can't believe people share. I could never trust anyone I didn't know in person with everything I've worked for. Plus you can't take credit for what you've amassed because there's no telling who did what.

When you have a non active main staff team, and the staff that is active does nothing about it period, your ticket sits for days and days without a response. That is why people still steal. Because they know JLH nor half of the staff give a damn anymore.

If Trevayne and youself and possibly Joe was still staff it wouldn't happen. The amount of theft almost vanished when You and Trevayne were active staffers. Your gone now and Trevayne never logs. People think they can get away with everything now. The current staffs additudes toward the game stink "Aimed at main" They don't get paid to handle situations and it isn't their accounts and they don't condone sharing, but Mark shares with Biohazard (Chris) And Lets RJ use his paladins. Mark also has access to Kiers account. I bet my life if something of a staff members was stolen that it would be fixed within 10 mins. I am not flaming I am just stating plain facts. You can't say there is no biased between staff and players. From friends irl to friends ingame because there is. As I stated they don't get paid so do you think they care if they lose their position "If even caught" due to JLH not really checking on anything anymore. They are losing nothing. On games like WoW, Rift, Ect. You can actually press charges irl on people for theft due to your personal information is attached to the account so it is basically breaking and entnering. You pay for the rights to the account. About the only thing you can do on nightmist is press charges on someone for harassment. www.netsafe.org.nz/.../netsafepapers_davidharvey_cyberstalking.pdf if you read that any type of social media/games or anything you can press charges against someone for harassment irl. The FBI (Or police department) will contact the owner of the game and get the ISP of the suspected person and that is how they will reach them. It is illegal for Death Threats, any type of harassment weather online or in real life. If people would step up and start showing people they aren't playing. You wouldn't have people like this online. Well not all of them but the majority.

Lets just get this sorted right here and now.

In nightmist, you do not pay for anything. You do not physically own anything, so you cannot be stolen from and press charges IRL. Anyone trying this, would be an idiot.

Everything belongs to JLH. That includes your accounts, characters, items, gold. You just use them in a manner that leads you to believe they are yours!

Secondly, there has been a recent spat of theft on multi, but you do have staff members over there. Im not sure how, or if they deal with theft, but if it was down to sharing they do not have to do anything. It was your own fault.

Thirdly, if you steal on 1Alt, i will get involved, and stuff might be returned if i can work out the rightful owner. Anything i am not 100% will be deleted(This could include your entire account, if i have no way of proving who owns what, and you wont sort it out between you). I do not have to do this, but i will continue to do this without bias. I always try to press players to sort everything out between themselves before i get involved, and 90% of they time they do.

ps. Any attempts of legal action due to theft on nightmist, will incur much laughter from the staff team. I myself, will point at you while mocking you repeatedly.

Ofcourse they can get away with it, those are the rules. The only problem with that rule is that staff were to human, and so they cared, and so they tried to fix things. Which is funny, since you all want an objective rule-enforcing no-cheating staff, but when you give your stuff away (yes I said give), you suddenly want them to do whatever they can.

You either want compassionate staff that base their judgement on feelings, emotions, or you want staff to follow the rules. All I've seen is complaining about staff not following rules (according to members), since the rule is that 'theft' that resulted from sharing is no theft, then you might want to stop slandering people.

Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Actually, Call a local police department. I don't know how it is in the UK, but in the United states weather JLH owns it or not you may still press charges for theft. You do no "OWN" your world of warcraft characters either. Blizzard does, but theft is theft. Expecially if your account information is on it and your ip address is attached to it. If they can see your ip was attached to the acct before you let someone else in then it is considered theft. That would be like you having a roommate yes you let him him and he steals from you. You going to let him get away with it? Or are you gonna get your stuff back? Same principle. You can laugh all you want. Just my point right there. Look at the maturity of the staff team. Flaming lol. Get a real job maybe? lol

There isn't a police department in the country that's gonna waste the mooseing time or resources to investigate a theft in nightmist. As stated before, it's a free to play game. JLH owns the rights to everything and can do as he sees fit. They are all his crits, equipment, and the like.

If people don't want to get stolen from you can either A. Stop Sharing or B. Stop throwing temper tantrums like little bitches.

You got me banned for 24 hours for talking crap to mark. Answer #2. You need to take care of your wife and kids. (to sum it up) Now who is someone to tell me what I need to do? He new I was pissed at mark and was talking nuts and took advantage of it. Beyond that he waits a week after the fact to change the password after I had logged and done tirantek a few times and my main was in jail for 2 days so I continued to log, and he knew I was going to continue to play. If logs are checked and ingame convos I never directly "Gave account to anyone" I logged several time since mark and I had the arguement. Loaded up and did things and everything was cool. At one point way back if you once again check logs, he said If I quit the pass would always remain the same. I admited I said it out of anger, but why wait a week AFTER I say it to lock me out when I logged in several times calmed down. If JLH would like I can get certified copies of my Text Messages from the last 2 weeks from my phone carrier between Jeff and I that he knew I wasn't really quitting and personally mail them to JLH. He found a loop whole made a scheme and got away with it. Weather I tell you I quit or not has nothing to do with it. People post quitting topics all the time in rage and anger and are back within 2 hours. Because I tell you I quit means nothing due to your not in the account. You opinion is not mattered. Or JLH can check the logs and see where it was said that If I ever quit the password would always remain the same.

A man, "HACKED" into computer accounts and then stole stuff. And he was arrested under the misuse of computers act, because the "Hacking" caused a breach of personal security.

If you "Give" someone your account details willingly, and they steal from you, nothing will be done.

Imagine this. If you tell your friend "Hey man, i hate this house, have it" then sign documents to say your giving him your house for free, hand him the keys, then a week later claim he stole it because he had the locks changed?

You will be giggled out of the police station, and sent to a homeless charity. (In the UK anyway, which btw, is all that matters. The laws from wherever you are sum up to absolutely jack)

No you can't actually press charges because someone steals something from you on a video game such as this. As has been stated, you own nothing in this game it's all property of JLHs. Just like you can't sue Blizzard when your WoW account is stolen as their ToS specifically states everything in the game is THEIR property and as such you agree to it when you play the game.

Although I really am surprised at this. Not that there's been theft but that there's still account sharing allowed in Nightmist. Shouldn't be allowed in any game and in most it isn't because of reasons just like this.

For the other sharers, thats down to Multi staff to decide. But most likely it all legally belongs to whoever now has access to the account.

Its as simple as that, stop whining and complaining. If any of your sharers have a problem, THEY should be talking to multi staff directly. By posting all of this on the forum, you have made it much less likely anything will be done.

People can share if they want. On 1alt, if you share and get stolen from, i will spend my time investigating and attempt to get the correct stuff returned to the original owner.

If i cannot identify the original owner, i shall delete whatever it is in question.
